I'm watching it now, learned quite a lot already. Thanks for the tip! Certainly going to watch a bunch more of his tutorials. This does not appear to be working for me, sadly. When I do this it just breaks anything the person should say and does not show it. My fault, got it to work, had changed the name of the unit in the init.sqf so the unit just wouldn't say anything at all until I fixed it in the unit's init. Thanks for the help. -

Thanks, I'll try that. Do you know how to make units have specific names in the game? As I'd like to make certain characters and currently, they're only speaking with names like: Alpha 1-1 and Alpha 1-3 -

Hello, I recently started working on a mission but I'm pretty new to all the scripting stuff. I've had a couple of questions, some of which have been solved by googling but a few remain. First of, how to delay a task assignment. I made simple trigger when the chopper lands and makes you unload. After that you need to walk up to an officer who is waiting for you. This ends the first task perfectly, but then I'd like the officer to say a few things and assign you a new task which is get in the car behind him. At the moment, the next task is just automatically added instantly after the first one ends, so it doesn't show up because the other 'task succeeded' thing is still showing. How do I delay this so the player gets the assignment -after- the officer talks? Next question is how to make tasks show up where you need to go like in the actual ArmA 3 campaign?(Waypoints?) Last question is how to get the location and time to show up in the left bottom corner at the start of a mission. I'm currently using the in-game editor to throw this together but I've heard that scripting the whole thing works better although I've got no idea how to do this. If anyone knows a good tutorial I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance, MiNoxus -
We managed to fuck up the cop spawning on our server and we don't quite know what we did wrong. The spawn menu doesn't show up anymore when a cop respawns or dies and they get put on the island above athira. Any suggestions from anyone on how to fix this?

3.1.1 is working like a charm. Only problem we seem to have is that de donator weapon store just stopped working. It worked fine before with 3.1.0. Anyone knows what we did wrong/knows about a fix? You can still ATM at the guy, just the option to buy from him disappeared.

Have been having a lot of fun on this server. Cops do the work they're supposed to do and don't arrest you without a reason. Rules are clear and allow both sides to get some fun without much of the drama. Overall a good place to spend your Altis life time at, certainly worth a try!

Thanks a lot. We got it fixed with this bit. Another question: Is there any way of re-enabling the saving of vests for civilians? Other than that, mod is performing as expected and we're having a lot of fun, thanks. ---------- Post added at 16:16 ---------- Previous post was at 16:14 ---------- If you mean editing the price, we figured out that changing the "3000" value in the fn_sellTurtle.sqf did the job. You can find that in the actions folder in your PBO.

We've had a few situations in which a person just got out of the vehicle and was about +- 100m from it when it just despawned.

We're having some trouble with vehicles just despawning. It sometimes despawns them when you abort/disconnect or sometimes even if you just walk too far from them. The vehicles do however just reappear in the garage after a server restart(if they're perma's ofcourse). Is this something we've done wrong? If so, what's causing this?

To start off with, Tonic, this is the best fuckin' mod for ArmA 3 at the moment. Really good job. I've been looking around in the configs and managed to add a Hellcat unarmed to the donator and rebel shop. Found out that it worked perfectly well, player that bought it got keys and stuff, could lock and unlock it. The only thing was that someone else without the key could lock and unlock it too. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I know it's not the the official mod but do I need to add the vehicle to some script other than the vehicleList? Second question, is there a way to make other weapons to taze as well? I was looking in to making the ghosthawk shoot taze rounds instead of just removing the ammo. :3 Is this just sillyness or is there a way to make it do this? Thanks for making this mod yet again, you're the best!

[ARMA 3] Stuck on "Downloading mission file (1 kb/x kb)".

This is an issue we're having making ARMA 3 servers but I'm posting it here because of some vague reason I can't post in the ARMA 3: Troubleshooting forum. We're trying to run a dedicated server, but whichever mission we start up on it we get stuck on (1Kb / xKb) of the mission data when we attempt to connect to it. We've been looking for any fixes but we can't find any solutions concerning servers anywhere. We've opened all the required ports(but feel free to post them again so we can double check we don't have an incomplete list) and we're running the correct version of ARMA 3 on both the server and the clients. Anyone knows any fixes? (If any mods want to move this, please do, as said I don't have any clue as to why I can't post in the ARMA 3 forum.)
