Script to lock out player slots
cobrosstuidos posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Is there a way to lock out player slots? For example. I don't want random pubbies joining Slots 1 - 10, just specific players (friends) is there a script for this? I can't seem to find any help anywhere, just a few unresolved ArmA 2 discussions which no arma 2 script has worked for me (porting to A3) Any help would be great! -
Player looking for squad (not for squads to post looking for players!)
cobrosstuidos replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
Age: 24 Location: Washington, USA (Pacific Time) Looking to get back into ArmA 3, didn't play it nearly as much as ArmA 2 mainly because most of the people I played ArmA 2 went never transferred over / stopped playing. I'm looking for a fun group to play with, no "boot camps" or "language filters". Ideally a group after a hard day of work I can come home and have a beer with and mess around. Having teamwork missions here and there are fine but I don't like mandatory stuff. About me: Used to make gaming videos (machinima / fuck around videos) Know how to modify/rescript missions One of my hobbies is animating/making cartoons, though I'm not very good at it. (animation enthusiast) Other than ArmA 3 I like playing Sins of a Solar Empire and Rocket League. Picking me up I can bring along 3-4 others who are very similar to me. I love addons and mods -

Script to get AI to move their mouths?
cobrosstuidos posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hello, I was just wondering if there was a script I could use to get the AI to move their mouths like they're talking? (For video purposes) In ArmA 2 filming was easier (just removed HUD) and ask the AI how the weather was ect... and the mouth was moving and you can dub-over it in post-pross. ArmA 3 doesn't have a conversation system like ArmA 2 so... Any help would be appreciated! -

Mission complete once all zones green using EOS?
cobrosstuidos posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
So I just downloaded the EOS script (Enemy Occupation System, like Insurgency Mission) and have it within my mission. The furthest I've ever been with "Mission Complete" scripting is using the in-game triggers. But I don't think those will work with EOS since the AI's are spawned in. So now is when I got to put my big boy pants on and learn how to end missions via scripts. Anyone got any ideas how to end a mission once all zones go "green"? -

ALPHA HOUSE - ARMA OUTSIDE-THE-BOX Gameplay! (Public)
cobrosstuidos posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
Hello all, ALPHAHOUSE (via CoBros) is a group of (immature) friends and (sometimes) public group for game-play in a not-so-conventional fashion. We tend to make (immature) videos of our good time playing these made-up modes or really creative custom missions from the community and upload them to our youtube channel. We are posting this to both let the community know of our (immature)existence and to also extend an invite to one of our future public events! Plus it will also hopefully help bring awareness to some of these awesome and unconventional maps that otherwise get over-looked. Though despite out extremely immature videos we are not teenagers. More than 80% of us are older than 23. Our youngest being 19. OUR VIDEOS (WARNING: LANGUAGE) If you would possibly like to participate join our STEAMGROUP (below). We use TeamSpeak3. IP will be given out on event day(s). STEAMGROUP: ALPHA_BRO_HOUSE YOUTUBE: www.youtube.com/CoBros (Playlist, ALPHAHOUSE) Thanks community! -

Dedicated server makes night-time brighter, why?
cobrosstuidos posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
In the local editor I have it really dark and foggy, but when I port it over to the dedicated server it's not as foggy and no where near as dark. Why? Do I need to script something? -

This has me confused. [[[],"playerConnected.sqf"],"BIS_fnc_execVM",false,true] call BIS_fnc_MP; Do I execute this line of code in an area trigger or in the missions init file? -

How would I use that? (In making it night-time and foggy). Do I need new SQF files? Googling "BIS_fnc_MP weather" it shows next to nothing on the subject. Just a lot of JIP text tutorials. -

No other parameters. Are there any scripts that force the fog/overcast/night? -
This game is about realism, right? Human movement still the biggest immersion killer.

Making games is hard. BI doesn't have the power/talent/money behind them that DICE has. Give them time. -
Can't wait. Love dev terrains.

well I have an area trigger down with the set fog array and in local editor it sets the fog to really foggy. But when I load it onto the dedicated server the fog is no where near as foggy. And I have in the intel it set at 00:00 time and it's PITCH BLACK, but in the dedicated server it's no where near as dark for some reason. -
ZORT zombies not working on dedicated server
cobrosstuidos posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hello, I used the ZORT zombie mission template from JasonB to make my own little mission template here: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=28100 When I test host on LAN the zombies come and kill me and the mission runs fine but when I upload it to my dedicated game server (gameservers.com) the zombies kill each other and ignore me unless I get right up on top of them and hold still. Here is the current set-up. Am I going to need a serverini file or something? Or are ZORT zombies not built for dedicated remote servers? Any help would be greatly appreciated, if you need me to post anything else let me know and I will. INIT.SQF FILE -

I'm going to dry with the Dynamic Sandbox zombie scripts, but I'll keep this going because I could really use the help.
