ArmA 2 C-130J and MV-22 Redux
H4nS0L0 replied to sakura_chan's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I just simply can't bear the stock MV-22 any more... teased by your video i gave the "Hotshot-port" another try, since its our only choice if we want to fly the osprey... but its so sluggish that i just cant stand flying it anymore!! So back to the subject.. while watching your video and philosphing about flight-models and particularly about control-options of aforementioned flight-model.. 'cause lets be honest if one is a sophisticated pilot in arma, one normally has a set of control-periphery wich does help raise the level of control a great deal (im talking bout whatever choice one makes.. hasnt got to be trackIR, played longtime with sixxaxiss and that pretty well, and i also know a few guys wich do a great job just with mouse n keyboard and some hard practice.) So im not looking to start a flame-war about "what" one uses... just the possibilitys "if" one maybe has an extra set of "usefull" controls at hand. As for myself i quite like my joystick a lot. It gives me nice analog-throttle control, wich in my case is splitable to make it into two seperate analog-controls (http://web225.extendcp.co.uk/fiercepc.co.uk/ebay/hosted/cyborg-fly5_3.jpg). And since i am a big fan of the osprey and i watched a lot of documentarys about it.. i know that the MV-22 pilots in real life do have "DIRECT" control of the nacelle-tilt-angle via a small scroll-wheel on theyre flightsticks. And since my controls are set up nicely so that i could use my 2 seperate analoge-controls to do the same in game.. eg. one for throttle and one for the direct control over the nacelle-tilt-angle..as i would really love see where to our pilotskillz develope/adapt if we got your great, more sophisticated flight-model and the right sophisticated controls of it. So would it be possible to make the nacelle-tilt-angle controlable with an direct-analog-control... maybe through one of the "custom-controls-mapping" like they do in real-life..?! How are you using the "Autohover" function on yours.. is it necessary?! and if so maybe there is a possibility to make them both work together.. maybe tell game-engine to just disregard the control-input from direct while in "autohover" or something like this.. I'd really love to get some insight into this cause im a biiiig fan of the osprey and would love to finally get treated to the almost perfect thing, as of the looks of it yours could be the one! :D A interested and concerned pilot.. ;b -
My simple Vehicle Radio [WIP]
H4nS0L0 replied to Llano's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
How does it handles the music.. are the tracks stored in a specific client-file or on the server..?! And would it be possible to let the server say run a mix (1h20m) and give the radio the ability to "tune" into that mix on say ch7 so everybody hears the same stuff (tracks in sync on say pawneeA and Ghosthawk-B, both active radio on ch7) That would be such a nice addition! :D -

So, the Arma 3 Tools have been released... wonder if this makes any difference for maybe seeing the most gorgeous helicopter for arma emerge from the unspoken and be reincarnated in Arma 3?! 'Cause for me it'd make totally up for missing content in vanilla state... If i could be able to just fly this one chopper... i wouldn't need anything else. This one is all i need. Been constantly checking for news on this one every few days since i got the game. Needles to say im a biiig fan of your work. So pleeeeease Konyo, could you maybe share some info with us on the state of the project. Greetings, H4n -

Rgr, thanks for the quick reply. Will do. And as Rock from RKSL put it: "As for a Native ArmA3 version - now the tools are out and I have access to my main Workstation again it wont be long at all." So hopefully we won't have to wait that long "at all" .. ;b -

Greetings! Hi, im a big fan of your addon but i ran into a slight issue while testing out some stuff with a friend of mine. We were trying to utilize the F-18 F version in tanker-configuration to Air-to-Air refuel some other plane than the counterpart E-version. It works fine so far with the E-version, very nice work. Much appreciated. But as i said before we were trying to get it to work with another plane, the RKSL-Typhoon working with AIA, since it also already has a probe and incorporated refuel-capability. However we couldn't get it to work.. the F-18 tanker showed the option to "refuel at buddy-pod" but upon choosing it, always said "refuel probe must be extended". So basically it didn't recognized the Eurofighters fuel-probe.. So i asked the RKSL-Team what could be the issue there and he said that it could be related to the specific animation-handlers and the calling of them. He mentioned that they were using the ones incorporated into the Feint-refuel addon as they were kinda standardised to get it to work on multiple aircrafts. At least thats the way i got it.. so my question is if this is a thing wich can be fixed/added to your gorgeous addon to make it even better as to being able to use it with other aircrafts as well. I think that would greatly enhance the usability. Cheers, H4n -

Yeah Rock... that was exactly the kinda information i hoped for! :D So i guess i try and reach the F-18 guys to maybe get them to unify the animation names.. erg. incorporate/make the feint-part workable with their addon. Worth a try, i think. Nice to hear the native arma 3 part of the message.. if u need active testers... me and my friend would be honored to help n give feedback! ;b Greetings, looking forward to your work as always. H4n -

To clarify the issue... im using the arma 2 one (AIA). And yeahh.. im not expecting it to be bug free.. but its a gorgeous addon and i thought maybe the fuel thing is an fixable issue, you know..?! ;B -

Hello dear Rksl-team and many thanks for your nice addons!! I ran into an issue while playin arma 3 with a friend.. as we like to play with them jets we thought we test out the refueling, since the eurofighter has an probe already.. ;b It works all fine and dandy in the new engine btw, beautiful... just no flares :( Anyways.. to the fueling-part.. we wanted the nice F-18, wich is native to arma 3s engine already, to act as the tanker since they have a nice system with the service menue and "tanker-configuration". In the air i get the option to "refuel at buddy-pod" (F-18 with extended fuel-line) but although i have the probe extended on the eurofighter F-18 says "refueling probe must be extended". Now im interested in how its handled and if it is something wich could be incorporated into the other aircrafts to make them compatible.. so that the F-18 recognizes the eurofighters probe, as that would greatly enhance the usabillity of the features. Looking forward to some insights in this.. greetings, H4n. -
