This was so funny watching his recording of this mission. I was clearing a gully & so was not near him. He was being quiet & approaching a barn. It was quiet all around him. He got to the barn & decided to rest by the wall. Then he heard this whistle. He said out allowed "what the .... was that?", he got on the radio to tell me people are whistling at him. Lol. Then the enemy made contact with him. Hearing the whistle threw him & he died lol. Think its a shame im not clever enough to make something like that for my missions lol.he was totally in the zone after that lol.

Lol thanks mate. My mate is scared at the mo as everyone has seen a small child sitting on his stairs & when I hearx the whistle I couldn't resist telling him its his gost trying to play, lol. Hes well paranoid now lol. So wat sound mod is better do you think then? cheers

We do use that mod. How did you know we use it? I thought the mod only alters the existing battle sounds, nothing else mate. cheers

Hi guys, this is something I'd love to do. I was just wandering if there's any vid tutorials made for 1st timers that would show us the process step by step? Or maybe if there's not, maybe someone who makes campaigns could make a vid tutorial? I woul love to make something like a 6 month tour of duty at a fob following a story. Cheers

I to would love to have the option of searching them, maybe have 1 approach a player advertising not to go a certain route, placing intel on them & lastly, ordering them to stay back if there's an ied. How about arresting them? -

Hi guys, I was just wandering if its possible for 2 players not in the same squad to share info on the map. So if I wrote on the map about a sighting can the other player from a different squad see what I've wrote.? Cheers

Hi guys can someone please help me with this? I've been trying to get my head around it for ages but it's beyond me. all I want is to stop ALL ai calling out targets over 300m. At the moment, I'm building a mission where the enemy drop mortars in triggers. The problem is the ai are "seeing" them from 1.5ks away & they are behind a hill!!!! How can I stop this & also how can I stop them calling out targets over 300m? any help would be great please many many thanks

Great bit of kit mate, thank you. However ive got 3 issues. 1) when I add the code to either my init or an ai, we dont have the back pack on our backs. Its just not there. 2) when I add it to a vehicle in the editor, I don't see it. 3) I can't put it into a vehicle in game, but I can get my ai to out it in I can only use it If I place it on the ground from within the editor. Am I doing something wrong? Cheers -
Hi guys im in need of some guidance please. Ive just built a MP mission the way i always do & after i place a new piece i test it. No probs there. However ive deleted the "player" & so ive only got playable squads down now as blufor. Ive done nothing different but today after many days of building the mission, i test it out to find it hangs on the load screen. it just wont go past it. My question is: has anyone else had this problem & if so how did you fault find to make it work again. Apart from copy & pasting all the different stages into a new file (crossed fingers i dont have to do that), im at a loss as what to do guys. Any advice would be great. As i said everything was working fine until this afternoon (14th Jan). Thanks a million for any help folks Ive started to copy & past all the different sections of this mission into a new file & everything was going great until just now when im getting the same hung up. Cant someone help with this please? Ive got no mods in this mission yet, only a very basic script for enemy Arty. Im sure its not the script as its been working fine all through testing. As i said this is the 2nd time im trying to build this mission & feeling so frustrated with it at the mo. How can a mission in the editor become curupted like this? All the hours & days ive put into this mission & now i feel proper let down with arma at the mo. I wouldnt mind if i'd done something wrong but i now i haven't. When i preview the mission it fails to load, it just hangs there on the load screen.

Thanks guys for the help. Ye im trying all sorts of ways i can think of to stop friendly ai from call out targets they just wouldn't see in real life & trying to stop enemy riflemen shooting us at daft ranges. Many thanks once again guys

Is it possible to group the FO to a player so the player only authorises the fire missions. Or have a TiC radio call maybe? Something like: mission is card alpha (fire only once fired upon sort of thing). The players squads come under contact & the player tells the FO in his group what targets he wants hit, the FO carries on as the script says. Is that possiple? I just think giving all that power to the FO would be mad as he would bomb targets that the commader (player) didnt want hit just yet. also if an update allowed us to use smoke as a screen, that would be good looks good sofar thou mate ---------- Post added at 20:03 ---------- Previous post was at 19:58 ---------- With support from the HMG's, am I right in thinking they could be placed like say 800m away in a safe place & the FO could tell them to suppress an area as troops went in or will they only shoot at targets? Will they engage at that distance? Once again, could the player commader tell the FO what he wants the HMG group to hit? What about how do they know when to stop firing? Would it be a danger close radius? Thanks for making this mod mate -
Happy Christmas to everyone. I know a topic like this has been posted before, but im after something very precise. All im trying to do is stop 2 players characters ai from calling out targets. I know there's a script that stops all comms chatter with the squad ai &the player, but I still want the squad ai to talk to the player commander. I just want to stop the player commander ai calling it out. is this possible folks? many many thanks in advance

Thanks mate for this but its not what im after. All I want is for the human players character ai to stop calling out targets. I need all the othe ai within the groups to still talk to the players. Cheers anyway -
Hi folks I placed an empty FIA armed off road truck & filled it with AAF troops & given the truck W/Ps to follow once Blufor trigger them to do so with a "switch" trigger. (blufor are fighting the AAF). The problem is the trucks wont move at all. this is what ive done. place empty FIA car place 2 AAF (movein driver / Gunner) in car 1st move WP is synced with a trigger (switch & blufor present) all other WPs are as normal But they dont drive. Any help would be fantastic please guys cheers

I might try something I didnt want to do just to make it work. I might try to have a Fia driver & make him setcaptive & then see if the vehicles move that way. -

Hi guys, ive searched using the words map & desk but im not finding what im after. can someone please guild md on how to set up an ops/briefing room. I want it either in the super sanger or in the hq building please. What I would like to learn how to do is: place the Altis map in a corner or on a wall any way of editing this map to only show my ao? a desk with files & a laptop on AI sitting on chairs maybe a commander (like in the survive mission) talking, giving the brief? I understand this last one would be a tall order. while im here thinking about things, theres 2 more things id love to learn for my fob. At the entrance I would like a large board like they did entering stratis airfield & id love to start a wall with cap badges of all the units thats served at this fob. Are any of these things poissible? many many thanks guys

Thanks F2k, all the other bits of the mission work. The empty vehicle bit wont. I would love to post the vehicle problem but im not sure how thats done. -

Hi eXpouk, My WPs are from the driver (AAF) & not the car. I just cant get them to move, no matter what i try. Is there a broken link somewhere here or am i doing something wrong? Many thanks ---------- Post added at 22:05 ---------- Previous post was at 21:58 ---------- Hi JAndrews, this was one of the final acts in the last MP mission i made & i was so stressed it never happened as it would of looked nice to see a fight between them & my AI panthers. So i was trying once again to get it working for this new mission. This one act is vital for my missions as my blufor are fighting the AAF but i want most of their vehicles to be armed pick ups to show a force without much money. Just wish something as simple as this (in my mind anyway) could be done in the editor. I wanted a mission were the AAF steal a UN strider also but until i can get this sorted its on hold
