Ok - i guess i'll wait for the automatic 'official' update then.....no point going off the beaten path....there's too much of a learning curve still in this game for me.

how do i know if i've got the latest updates for Arma 3 - does Arma automatically updates by itself when i start the game or do i have to search for an update - i read sitreps and is says 1.08 is available but can't find any link to get it.

Still very much a newbie to Arma 3 - at first i felt very clunky with the numerous stances/keyboard command - but i'm improving each time i play - i am beginning to appreciate the small things in Arma which i initially didn't like - like one can't sprint forever in real life, i quite like the idea of saving the sprints and conserving energy in case i need to shoot accurately - and how when you are shooting at someone there's no hit marker to say you've killed them...u just need to see them drop - just like in real life. Bought BF4 and played for awhile - now Arma 3 has spoiled me - in BF4 i was sprinting everywhere and if felt wrong. And the graphics in Arma 3 is incredible - very accurate. I hope Arma 3 continues to improve. PS: BF4 must have been such a bad game to change my preference now to Arma 3.

I don't want to join any team/group as my confidence in Arma 3 is very basic and i'll probably frustrate other more experienced players. i'll try out Killzone as u recommended. OMG - there's so much to learn....

just drop them as is into the MPmissions as is - no need to create a directory?

Hi - i'm an Arma newbie - i've downloaded v3.4r and there's a bunch of .pbo files - how do i install them into Arma3?

i've have not yet played multiplayer on Arma - wat is it like? is it human players against human players like BF/CoD?

I've had Arma 3 for 6 days now and my keyboard controls are getting better. But i'm still not understanding the fuss about Arma 3. I'm playing scenarios - they are like campaigns in BF. and u play according to the script - go there, do this....hunt/look out enemy who is supposed to be somewhere....is this the highlight of Arma? Do u guys like playing campaigns that much? - people say Arma is a smarter game - really? I appreciate the numerous user created scenarios but they are still like BF campaigns. I don't like campaigns as AI can be either too strong or too weak and never perfect. In BF i only played the multiplayer - they were just pure fun. It was fun to shoot someone and think it was a real human on the end that u had just 'killed'. Can Arma be like BF's multiplayer? I have not gotten into arma's multiplayer yet as i wanted to learn the controls better before i frustrate other players?

OMG - it's in print already - i want one!!! But yes why is it B/W - where's all that glorious colors? I hope the book is also big with large fonts - i hated reading the BF3 guide as the print fonts were like tiny. We old men love warfare too!

I've tried TMR and the problem with that is that u need to be prone and among the tall grass lying prone i can see jack-shit. So up i go a notch and scope up and 'ahoy there sailor - we are on a rocky boat" sway starts again and i get shot cause i'm trying to control the damn scope from see-sawing about. I'm not getting the satisfaction of the game like i get from playing BF. BF is arcade like (CoD is worse) but i do have a sense of handling the weapons in BF and it felt great. i hope i don't get damned for saying that in this forum but i really wanted ARMA to be my main game but as of now with this damn swaying crap it's pretty disappointing. I don't even feel like firing the game up to play - like as if i'm ever gonna be in the mood to have motion sickness. OK - maybe in real life the scope does sway that way (what do i know - i'm just a civilian) but this is a game and swaying is really no fun at all. I can't see myself getting past this swaying thing.

This is day 5 of me playing Arma 3 - every day of play my keyboard skills improves but there's something i can't get over - weapons sway. I know there's been some discussion regarding weapons sway but i really can't stand it anymore - the excuse/reason for the sway is that in real life there's a sway when u put your scope up. But it sure kills the gameplay - i scope up and suddenly i'm on a 'Perfect Storm - ahoy there sailor' sway with my scope - it takes me awhile to wait for the sway to align with a target and then shoot - do this a few times and suddenly my gut reaction regarding Arma 3 is that it's clunky & clumsy. Has there been any mods to remove sway? I tried an Arma 2 sway removal - but it didn't work for A3. Can someone please help as i really want to like A3 and continue to play it- but currently deep down i really don't enjoy and appreciate the sway at all - even though the argument for it is that mimics real life and is more realistic - this is one aspect i don't need in a PC game. i love the graphics and the fact that the game can be modded/improved by endusers.

I totally agree that A3's weapons sway is terrible - it makes the game so hard to play and frustrating - while i'm no weapons expert but even in real life i think a weapson won't sway like that - that's why the popular feedback regarding Arma is the word clunky and it's because of that damn sway thing. I really wanted to make Arma 3 my primary go to war/military game but i'm not sure if that's gonna come true.....i thought hard about what's preventing me to truly enjoy Arma3 and it's this damn weapons sway- i'm getting motion sickness playing it. And my wrist hurts from trying to minimise the sway. Pull your scope up and it's "ahoy sailor perfect storm style" - Is there any settings i can use to remove it? U know wat would make it perfect - BF shooting style with ARMA potential - now that's something i can get into. Right now Arma 3 is Clumsy and Clunky!!!And tat's coming from someone who is trying very hard to like it - i've even made a conscious decision not to play BF for now as BF3 (not yet BF4) is so enjoyable for what it is - going back to Arma might be a let-down (because of the controls) - just wanted to get myself into the Arma mode properly.
