    [Early Preview] 3D Editor

    I used your .exe and it works well for turning my FreeDee missions into editor mission all though it requires some voodoo. The FreeDee mission i made was on proving ground using @A3MP, I used your .Exe to make a mission.sqm and at first it was just telling me a flat "Failed to load mission" so i tried loading Altis and merging it in, it still said "failed to load" but this time the objects were down at the bottom of map. I then loaded up proving ground again and tried merging it and it worked, It did tell me "file is read only" but was fine to edit in ArmA 3. It was a bit hit and miss though when i tried it with a different version I could no longer get it to work. I will keep at it and try to narrow down a method, I really like this editor so I really want easy conversion to ArmA 3 editor.

    It would be great if it had a brush feature to 'paint' on grass, trees, rocks and so forth. Anything to make the job of our talented map makers easier.

    Update is out

    The added stuff for this episode is the AAF reinforcements update (1.08) that added some vehicles and items. While not being released along side the episode it is the accompanying content for use in campaign.

    New Terrain N'Ziwasogo (Wip)

    Just played on Koplic the other day for the first time it was very good for heli training since it has a lot of gaps in its tree lines, I also had fun trying to fly a buzzard down the river at low alt. Is there going to be more work on Koplic in the future? I feel it needs some bridges becuase where the road drops off into the river is quite sharp. Looks very good I will try it out when it's up on PW6, I just hope my frame rate doesn't hit the basement.

    Ya that's what we did, we just have a policy about all mods required for ops have to be obtainable through PlayWith6 so manually replacing pbos is a stretch of our rules. Fortunately @A3MP brings so much to the table that our officers are willing to let it slide.

    I'm having this issue as well, we managed to get it to work by replacing the pbo with an old version. but we don't want to use a mutated version so please fix this.

    Tomorrow I will have a play and see what nice scenes I can create and import for use in my communities campaigns and Ops. I really like the interface of this 3d editor the best I've used so far, I tend to make myself dizzy with the fov though.

    That sounds like it could be the problem since the lights are technically vehicles right? unsure how it can be fixed though might have to make a post about it in the ALiVE thread.

    Unsure if this issue is known but when playing with the ALiVE Mod the heli pad starts fine at mission start but over time begins to duplicate into pretty flower shapes Mission maker thinks its ALiVE doing it but just wanted to post here so you know.

    I feel like the lights are too bright at range, I can see these things clear as night :p from like 4-7 kilometres away.

    Very cool addon i've been using it with @A3MP having fun set dressing on Zargabad can't wait until I can export my work into 2D editor easily.

I was testing more ways to have all of Altis occupied so i split Altis into 5 sections with large markers none overlapping, I used two placement modules in each marker zone a Military and Civilian military. Strange happenings were soon to follow on some occasions the civilian objectives would appear instantly upon start other times they would not, I let it run for a while but nothing would happen no more objectives would appear or entities be placed, Once I scaled back to two placement modules it would run fine again though. I tried a sleep command in the init of some of the placement modules with no affect. A way to stage the boot of placement modules would be good so I can make the placement module closer to player spawn init first. UPDATE--- With further testing i found it goes by the force size of the total placement modules, now using 4 modules I have 3 on 1200 which after game start it starts placing objectives rather quick I tried the 4th on 800 but it didn't want to work or took way too long. I started from the lowest force size and scaled up until the time from mission start to first objective placement was rather long i got to 400, it would be good if it didn't activate the second two placement modules at once so it is doing 2400 in force size at start which it handles easily.
  22. Is it possible to make a NATO OPCOM with no NATO AI units command the player groups? I was looking at a way to get some side mission type stuff, I think letting the OPCOM just command players would be great.

    JSRS2.0 WIP Thread

    Some people have been recommending Speed of Sound for A3, I haven't downloaded JSRS yet since i been waiting for the next FULL update but can't wait to compare the two side by side and see which i like more. JSRS might have a sentimental advantage though.
  25. I've got a pretty butts computer but I can run the game above 45 fps on standard settings so I will jump on today and see how it holds up.
