    Some Background:

    Howdy! The name's O`Finnegan and in cooperation with some friends, I've started up a project to create a US Army Faction that might exist around 2030. Since I'm new to modding ArmA III we will be releasing in parts. The first part I shall bestow upon the community is the GEAR portion. This consists of uniforms, vests, backpacks, and ported gear. **NOTE** This is an ongoing project, therefore we will be releasing a new update with some better ported gear such as HELMETS and other GEAR from A2 optimized for ArmA III, within the next week. The second portion would be Vehicles and weapons, and lastly a custom map (Based on some islands near Okinawa) where the US Army trains their pacific forces (Based on a posible connected campaign). Screenshots will be uploaded constantly so watch us closely! This mod is ment to be tested and voted on by the community, So any comments are needed!, any suggestions are welcome.

    What this adds (So Far):

    • Uniforms, Backpacks, Vests, All with a custom variants the ATACS texture being the main variant (ARMPAT) other patterns are BDU, Mulitcam (Scorpion).
    • Helmets, Ported Hats, all with various camo textures.
    • Custom Faction (US ARMY)

    Known Issues:

    • Caps with Flags are VERY Glitchy
    • Ammoboxes do not WORK, use the example mission!

  2. So I was thinking.. Why try to port over old models of vehicles when some ArmA III vehicles have somer eally good textures to em.

    Maybe making the following retextures:

    - AAF MORA = M2 Bradley A4

    - AAF Kuma = M4A2 Bliss

    - NATO Mohawk = CH-52 Crow (I know its the Sea King, But why can't the us military use it?

    - CSAT MArid = M6 Stryker A2

    * along with other vehicles already in NATO, such as the blackfoot actually being used as a scout helicopter (Comanche) and the Littlebird being a bit more agile.

    WARNING some variants in color may look the same, (Lighting was werid at the Stratis Airport) so don't hate me if the green camo looks black or the MAROOOOON (Not red) Beret is dark.

    Want to add:

    - Make Caps, and Vests (tan, green variants) look less plasticly

    - Add better patches (why not?)

    - cool decals on the helmets

    - Maybe custom models in the future?


  4. Well on Saturday my unit will be testing the mod gear and uniforms, Please be prepared for a video of some kind or alot of screen shots... As for the "Motorcycle helmets" and the "xm-20" those seem really fun and all, but I've dicussed alot with the military guys and have come to the decision it will be alot of retexture along with some custom gear models...   6. Ok Guys! I've finished all config work and textures (cept for a couple of vests) I've been making deals with some key modders (Yall know who you are, and thanks sooo much for your help) to get some fantastic custom models for VESTS, ESS Goggles, and Helmets! I will also be adding some custom vehicles to the list and weapons! Hopefully within the week I can refine everything and release the Closed Alpha test, with Screen shots! IF ANYONE is interested in doing ANYTHING (Textures, Modelers, References) ALL IS NEEDED! I intend to create a great mod everyone will love. ALSO with in the week I will release screen shots of our custom island.

  7. I'm currently new to modding in general for ArmA III, but I've modded in the past for other games. I'm creating a realistic ArmA III mod that will include weapons, gear and vehicles that the US Army would be using maybe 10 to 15 years from now. I've already done the gear configuration work, and pretty much everything that is needed to finish this mod except for one thing. I've been searching far and wide for an exceptional camo pattern. I NEED THE COMMUNITY's help, in voting or deciding a good pattern for the gear and uniforms. This pattern must have a desert variant AND jungle variant.
