Update Kirill Miroslav Assasinated! The month of January has end of Kirill Miroslav, the infamous leader of the Islamist Movement of Uzbekistan. Most notably when the Podagorsk Paninsuala was annexed by Russia and when Russian supported rebeles in Zernovo fought against South Zagorian troops, claiming independance in the fall of 2014. The move has enfuriated the South Zagorian government, but due to economic problems, South Zagoria was forced to pipe down it's diplomatic oposition against Russian. At the same time, the sanctions impossed against the Russian Federation eased Russia's stance against South Zagoria. Nevertheless, far-right, neo-fascists groups are more vivid then ever in their crackdown to South-Zagoria' ethnic Russian Population. Due to the peculiairity of the situation Russia cannot risk to take action against the neo-fascists, the would risk destroying their already weak economy. Nevertheless, neo-fascist groups like Pravij Sector are becoming more and more active in the far eastern part of South Zagoria, giving high risk of a spill over to Russia. Updater: Situation Op. Prometheus. The US Department of Defence (DoD) is in a developped phase to lease an Uzbeki base. The lease deal is part of the US DoD's Afghan evacuation strategy. Due to strong Russian diplomatic and militairy influence over the Uzbeki government the United States will become dependent of the Russian Federation for the succesfull evacuation of US troops from Afghanistan. The neccesity of close cooperation between Russian and the US, might be a game changer for bad diplomatic relations between the two countries, originating from the Ukranian crisis. It is expected that Moscow will be eager to use the situation to improve relations with the United States. Nevertheless, Russia does not seem to be in for a free ride due to the presence of the Islamist Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU). The IMU's charismatic leader, Kirill Miroslav, has just recently declared the Uzbeki region of Ovalestan as caliphate, protecting it with a formidal fighting for of Mudjahedeen prepared to fight to death for their cause. Russian Defence Minister Shoigu has increase deployment of Russian troops in the region to win the harts and minds of the local population and win a stronghold over the IMU. The 45th Detached Reconasance (VDV) Regiment has been sent out to Ovalestan as part of the mission. 45th Regiment's commander, Col.
