    Is it possible to make this modular? So we can pick and choose what we want etc reducing the overall download size. (It's for a community)
  3. If they shared information then why would a guard patrol 150 meters away not respond to a fireteam being attacked? Not to mention that they don't see the firefight or hear the sound of the gun shots, nor do grenades seem to interest them. That's why the WWAI mod was made, to make the AI react to nearby gunshots, however that only works up to about 50-100 meters, anything beyond that and the AI just don't react at all. They will stay in Safe Mode walking along their designated patrol path. Only way atm that I know of to get the AI to react is to have it set up on a trigger (Activation: Blufor, detected by opfor) And then have all the AI converge on that location. Or have it set so that the players have a "Info age" i believe it is, where they know where the player is 24/7 after that. If you wish to test this out, go to editor, place down several infantry units in Pyrgos[/s] place down a blufor unit, and then just walk into the town and start shooting people up. The guards at the other side of town do not even react, and will continue walking in safe mode until they have LOS on you. Better way to test it would be to make all the characters AI, so you can watch them from above, and see how little the AI react when the gun shots start going off. Reaction = non existant

  5. I played this mission with 3 of my friends the other day. Now I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but we found it incredibly easy. We went up to a radio station hacking thing, killed everyone there, and then stole the ifrit that was there. We then proceeded to shoot a base of people and grabbed another ifrit. We then started to drive the length of the island (top to bottom) to the extraction, passing patrols, random checkpoints, other CSAT vehichles, coming as close as a couple of meters, and I even hit one of the csat riflemen. However they didn't acknowledge us at all. So we decided to just have a race down to the island knowing full well that we had no threat at all. Are you marked as setcaptive once you enter an enemy vehichle? Or was this just a bug that we found?
  6. I don't like the typical Aware mode at all. In my mission (shameless plug), the AI react how I would think they would react if they didn't know you were there. One thing I wish that would be implemented however is having a radio system implemented for the AI, so that they would update eachother as to where you are.     MX Series Black Edition

    Is there a way to have this mod installed via a script for a mission so that others without the mod can see and hear the gun, or just a regular MX instead? Because I really wish to use the black version but of course no one else can see the gun unless they have the mod installed.

    There isn't any reviving of any kind. It was made to be a hardcore mission where you had to actually be fearful of the enemy, avoiding their flashlights and avoiding the patrolling helicopters search light. I could put in reviving, but I think that would detract from the atmosphere of the mission somewhat. I could put up the same mission with the revival aspects if you so wish. Might mean more people would want to play it as it'd be more casual. As for respawns you respawn as a seagull. So you can spectate the action. Or can just opt to leave.

    This is a night time operation for the special forces. It's best played as realistically as possible for total immersion, and can prove quite difficult. It requires dodging patrols, forward planning and a lot of patience. I created it just for my community (Reach Elite Forces), but was told that I should put it up onto the workshop as everyone enjoyed it (Even if we've only managed to complete it once out of the 5 tries so far. I did say it was difficult lol) It is best played with 9 people however it can be completed with only 4 people.     A noob's first day....

    Have to vouch for joining a community. Arma seemed so small with very little to do before I joined, after that though it opened up a whole set of new things. Even got into editing because of it.

    After watching Shac Tac videos and Jester videos I personally love the fact that's it's more realistic over COD and BF. I'm fed up with constant explosions every 2 seconds, it begins to grind on your ears a fair bit.
