  1. In our current campaign we are using the awesome Paladin, but for that to be effective we need it way back. We have run into issues with radio range. Is there any way to set up a radio relay of some large antennas to extend the range? We have severe terrain between the battery and the observer, and don't have the manpower to have a relay team.
  2. I've got a good steeringwheel, and figured I'd set it up for some proper driving controls in ARMA3.I was harboring a fool's hope that the mappings would be better than Arma2, but it appears Bohemia didn't intend for us to use steering wheels, and alot of undocumented options are confusing. Ok, my findings so far: Mapping axis is fine, and works as intended, if a little clumsy. Axis sensitivities are a little wonky. While set to linear (middle), the steering feels really slow, and I have to use alot of input to make the vehicle steer. With sensitivity set to max (low gamma) I get something that feels somewhat linear at low speeds. There is however a strong speed sensitivity decrease baked in. This is fine for keyboard steering, but defeat the purpose for axis steering completely. And there is nowhere to turn this off as far as I can tell. Edit: Profile file has settings for the sensitivities and deadzone, but no extra settings in the file, hinting that the speed sensitive ramp is hardcoded. Deadzones work as expected. There is an undocumented dropdown next to the sensitivity setup which range from 1.0 to 3.0 and affect sensitivity (press "show" and you'll see that this dropdown number affect the shown sensitivity. This acts like a multiplier for the input. In my instance with a 1080 degree lock to lock steering wheel, setting this to 2.0 would give me full steering with 540 degrees. Force feedback has no options. There is a rumble in the steeringwheel that is rattling my simpit and will put alot of unecessary strain on my wheel, so an option to turn it off would be welcome. Edit: line 18 of my profile file has a parameter "Vibrations" set to 1. I'm trying to set this at 0 now to see if the force feedback rattle is gone. Edit2: Rattle is gone, so that was a relief.
