arma2zombies

Hi all, I hate to make one of these threads but I'm really looking for some guidance. My friend has been playing Arma 2 for a really long time and he wants me to get it. He mainly plays the zombie mod which is what I'm mostly interested in too. I will also play the regular game and single player all the way through of course though. My questions are, - Is it worth it to get Arma 2 right now with Arma 3 out? - Are people still playing zombie mod? - Does Arma 3 have a zombie mod yet? Thank you so much for the help.
