nice mod, is it possible to have the C&C post get packed up into a hemmt box like vehicle, and therefore be moved? -
Sangin plays great as a infantry focused map, no highly armored vehicles, barely any helis, just you and your mk1 feet. the map feels huge (in arma2) because of the fact that a single squad of taliban can defeat you due to the fact that you can barely see anything due to the massive amaunt of vegetation, mix that in with plenty of IEDs and every inch of land feels like a kilometre

i believe someone figured out a method on how to make vehicles walkable even when in motion (i think it was someone who was working on a frigate or something for a3 aswell) -
i really do hope the HUD goes into this detail, it really is essential for a good (safe) attack run, makes it alot better than the near-blind method you need to use in a2

Not trying to seem to rush things, but you seem to be quite far with this piece of art. at what point would you consider your a-10 release worthy?

not quite sure what you mean, but the MFCDs can show you: the tgp, used for lasing, finding, targeting enemies. you can make a spot your SPI (sensors point of interest) which should give you a icon on the HUD. your MFCDs also cover the AGM-65 Mavericks which is just find your target, lockon, fire

do keep in mind that arma 3's speed is in km/h, a heavily loaded a-10 will takeoff at around 150 knots(277,8km/h), a lightweight one at 120ish (222 km/h)

the thing that always annoyed me with arma flying was the lack of precision capable attacks, you always had to get visual on your target which usually happened at the last 5 seconds, a tgp working together with the hud would be a blessing, still... this looks amazing and i'll gladly fly this over anything else

i was talking abaut the aircraft HUD yes, but yeah you´re right abaut the game HUD :) Also Peral, great job on the MFCDs, looking awesome! could you tell if you're going to be able to add autopilot modes?

@nodunit, the HUD provides vital information such as airspeed, heading, SPI, AoA. the actual MFCD pages provide, much much more. not to mention that if a damage model ends up being made and the HUD fails, you are going to have to. basicly you need the hud for the combat role

Wow very nice, looking forward to this one for sure. will you be adding different MFCD pages, a proper hud, changeable loadouts and autopilot modes (altitude hold, altitude & heading hold, path hold)?

Very nice stuff, also incredibly glad that the massive payload an a-10 can carry is actually going to happen ingame now, the textures are pretty dman amazing too. really hoping you guys manage to get rid of the tab-lock mavericks and make the mavericks abit more realistic (with the auto lock-on+quick firing) Although it might just me not looking at it to well, but is the Gau-8 barrel poking out on the left side of the nose? cause AFAIK the front wheel is actually build to the right side of the plane so that the gau-8 barrel can poke out straigth from the center of the aircraft. all in all though, i'm really looking forward to this arma 3 masterwork. Keep up the good work.

I recommend reading through this if you want to be realistic with the C variant. ftp://ftp3.files.eagle.ru/dcs/manuals/DCS-A-10C_Flight_Manual_EN.pdf also the main difference with the A-10C is the electronics IE: another MFD, TAD (tactical awareness display), DSMS (digital stores managment system) and improved targeting systems such as an IFFCC (Integrated Flight & Fire Control Computers) and an improved FCS(fire control system)

Sorry if some of this has already been said but here are my problems: -most scopes+203 cause clipping through the scope and sometimes the entire weapon -damage is absolutely terrible, takes 3 rounds to the head to kill someone, 5 to the chest with no body armor, would be nice if this could be tuned to a higher level (just below 6.5 perhaps) -your weapons are amazing, i keep looking at the gun instead of my target, plis fix EDIT: seems like damage is OK, low but OK, server side is just slow, not recognising when enemies should be dead

Damn, this is looking amazing so far. do you guys think you could disable the annoying arma rudder effect upon every single turn? if you guys manage that, no matter what kind of aircraft i'm pretty much sold
