I type one character in chat and it shows a different one

Hi all, this is my first post and I'm already asking for help, sorry about that but this is really annoying me. When I'm in game and I type a "?" it types an "_" instead and so on for other characters. This used to happen to me on CS 1.6 back in the days, any idea on how to solve this? -
