Biography
I'm a 26 year old college student with an AA in Counterterrorism Studies currently working on my BA in Homeland Defense studies. I have a woman who drives me crazy; I love firearms and compete with them; I have a Pitbull named Liberty; I carry a gun on a daily basis; and I am a devout Libertarian who distrusts the government and all it's faceless entities.
Interesting Facts: 1. The majority of the guns you play with in the Arma series (even addons), including the select-fire ones, I've fired in courses or at machinegun ranges throughout the country. 2. I compete in IDPA and 3-gun tournaments. 3. I prefer to carry a Springfield Champion 1911, or a S&W model 586 in .357 Magnum.

Good Thinkin'!

This, I must say, is quite exciting. Every time I run through the addons/weapons section I sigh and think to myself, "Why doesn't anyone make a VZ 58?" Alas, I came across the WIP of yours on Armaholic. And now... I'M SO HAPPY! I own one and am in awaiting a special side plate from zahal to mount using a drill press and some (obsolete) rivets. I don't mean to go off and turn this into a gun post, but my excitement won't allow me to stop. Remember (not that you don't know, or don't have any experience with the platform) top mounted optics like the PSO-1 wont do well on a VZ 58 due to it being a top eject rifle. The optics get punished quite severely. I'm putting a Pk-01V on mine due to it being a short optic so the ejected brass won't cause a problem. If you make it so it accepts any PSO or POSP scopes, I don't think anyone other than the purists will get butt hurt. Keep it in mind, though! A lot of people have gotten quite creating; creating mounts that have shields on them. I also suggest not being boring and just making a Kobra for it. I'm getting sick of that fucking Kobra everyone gets so excited about and the 1P78, mainly because it looks very gross in game. A Rakurs, or the Obzor version of the 1P78 would be cool. Ultimately, I think the coolest and most Russian looking without being cliche would be the PK-01, the PK-A, PK-AS, or the PK-01 V. I'm a total asshole when it comes to this stuff, though, blowing me off is completely acceptable. I'm just totally stoked because the VZ 58 with Warsaw pact side mounts and Russian optics are super neat-o. See, my reasoning is flawless. Also, I'm on adderall right now, so too much detail is standard.

I totally agree. The game has become a bit stale for me and I have been avoiding it for the most part and I would like to see this as fast as possible, so I think he can skip the video making. The man needs a little room to breathe and we have zombies to kill. I'm sure everyone's as excited as I am. Robert Hammer's M4/M16 pack is going to be wonderful for killing these little bastards. -

He's surely earned donations. Shit, he's saved me money by driving my interest away from others games. That leaves more money for reloading components and firearm accessories ;). On a serious note, though, I hope our pressure isn't stressing him out. I find writing a paper on counter-narcotics strategy hard enough, even though I'm interested. I can't imagine having to deal with the same paper for over a thousand hours. So, Charon, have a drink and drink one for me too... relieve some tension. -

I'm sure he gets a lot of attention and motivation from people telling him how exited they are and how much the mod means to them and it may be tiring, but being as I never post and really don't have much to say beyond "good job" in most cases, I have to at least say SOMETHING. I'd like to note that I had a custom rig built to play Arma 3, not just so I could play Arma 3. Once it was announced, I imagined this mod immediately and could barely contain myself as the possibilities raced through my mind. This man is very capable and clearly very intelligent and provides us with something we otherwise would only dream of and fight for as we're forced to play DayZ with a bunch of Communist 14 year olds who aren't interested in the context, or idea behind the whole thing. This mod has provided me with the ability to shut out every other unfortunate reality in life and focus on something that consists purely my imagination with my own story and my own intent. It provides us, as players and fans, with a fluid base to create an endless foray of mindless fun, or story driven action whether we share it or not. And I'd like to say thank you, and applaud Charon productions as he works tirelessly to bring us what we dream of. It says a lot when a mod designed by one motivated dude is enough to pull me away from loading 230 grain hardball into the thousands of .45 ACP shell casings I've compiled since I was such a young man. I like to shoot in real life, but sometimes shooting in virtual reality is just what the doctor order... plus infinite ammo
