Is the editing of ammo and weapon-boxes working for you guys? I can't see what's currently in them and in the sub-menu's I am only seeing lots of backpacks and folded weapons. I would love to create a box with just a sniper rifle and some ammo, as one of my players is a lone-wolf-camper-sniper..:) The idea is to spawn him as a civilian and then collect a rifle somewhere and fire on patrols, like a proper guerilla.

Hi Karel, thanks for replying to this issue, I thought I messed something up... And btw, I absolutely love Zeus and Arma3, I think you guys are ace! Oh, and I read that Zeus can now alter the contents of ammo-crates and stuff -> awesomeness!

Last night I ran a server for a friend of mine. He is the typical lone wolf, big sniper-rifle kind of player. So we spawned, I gave him the NATO special weapons box, and I flew him into a drop-zone, from there he infiltrated enemy territory. I used artillery strikes on the hillsides opposite as interdiction fire. Close enough to look good and scary, far away not to kill enemy patrols and him. I dropped a ton of civillians into the town, and two sentry squads. I hoped that made him think twice before shooting guys in pink shorts. An Orca flew over the town. In the meantime, I let the weather deteriorate, rain came and then the occasional thunderstrike. Really awesome for me as Zeus: I heard him mutter through his microphone: "Bloody weather, and now even thunder! Damn!' How bloody awesome! I love Zeus!

Hi, I am far from knowledgeable but I found that when I activated Zeus on a MP-server I created, my Creator Menus were empty, except for the Empty objects. I think it has something to do with Godmode and Zeus rights, so (and now I hope I remember it correctly) I took a mission where I knew it was working and I edited one of the Mission. files or the Init files and copied everything about Zeus to my own files. This gave me the Parameters at the serverscreen and, for some black magic reason, also the picture at loading of the multiple lightning strikes. I could then set the parameters for Zeus to Godmode and Create Everything and hey presto, fully working Zeus. I used a blank mission from a German guy here on the boards as the basis, he is very knowledgeable. I just read my post back and this has to be the most idiotic post ever.

I would love two things for this super-awesome game: 1 - a way to select grenades I throw and 2 - the tooltips in the editor working. I love the editor but man, it is difficult for a noob like me.

In R/L you want to stop firing if there is still one round in the chamber, because then the action will not lock. So, last round in the chamber, drop your empty mag, pop in a new one and continue firing. Shoot all bullets, the action will lock back, you need to change mags and then release the action which might take a few extra seconds. To be honest, counting rounds and announcing the change is the professional way, I always blasted away like a moron and then had to change. Go figure.

You know, I find that there is a big gap between having having next-to-no tutorials in the original game, and a tactical guide that can be bought in the shop. I guess my purchase is pure on the basis that Dyslexi made a HUGE effort to make this a better game, with all his YouTube movies etc. Sort of a thank you, so to speak.

Haha, exactly. I did not even miss the women. Must be escapism as there are 2 here: my wife and my daughter.

Hello guys, First off, I never played the pervious Arma's, just this one's Beta. And today the final release. I was on the dev-branch thingy on Steam for a few days, so today I only had a small download to go through. First thing I checked, tooltips in the editor or perhaps even a tutorial? Nope, nada. Then I joined a MP-server, I spawned at an airfield and there was a guy pushing a helo with a Hemmet. He just rode up to the nose of the helo and pushed it a bit further. Then he got in and was waiting for guys to get in. So I did, in the co-pilot seat. I saw the guy looking at me, as if I was a dooffus..probably am, too. Then he took off, and some guy in the back typed about wanting to be dropped off somewhere. There we went, I got out with the rest and they ran away. I saw some guys in the village, fired and lost 10 points..:( I wandered about a bit, not having a damned clue what to do next. So I get to a road, there is an APC waiting. No one around. There comes Mr HeloPilot....he lands a bit further up the road, I get in. Then he hovers over the APC and he LIFTS IT AS UNDERSLUNG CARGO! Now, for you veterans this might be nothing special but this gave me triple nerdgasms...I used to be a landing point commander in the Dutch army and by gods, the guy was doing honest to god airmobile operations! Next server: an open pilot slot! Yay! I have been playing DCS: Black Shark 2 a while, and when I got Arma 3 Beta, I immediately started training as a pilot. You know, editor, setting up the stick, pop in a Little Bird and zoom around. Land at that hill, or in that compound, or do not exceed 50 metres altitude, watch YouTube guys like Dyslecxi, the works. So, open slot as a pilot, mind still on airmobile ops..I was going to fly everyone to anywhere! Unfortunately, on the airbase, some neck-beard had damaged all 2 helos on the flight line, so I could not get airborne. :( Then I got killed by someone as I tried to find something like a repairvehicle or something.. So, bearing in mind that I am on morphine-painkillers (issues with a herniated disc), and just stoned out of my mind on that, what a great experience to see the pilot lift the APC! For now,I have set myself 3 goals... 1- be the best pilot I can 2- learn the editor 3- find a decent server without neck-beards that damage helos on the flight line. Anyhow, I hope things with the no-women-civvies and the other issues work out for everyone, and if you ever see a lone guy wandering about looking clueless, come down and give me a lift..you just might make my day!
