  1. This is why you plan both your attack run's egress as well as its ingress (Second Angle) - @AllInARMA A-10 Windmill Near-Miss Q: Huh? Why are the rocket trails all curly? A: Rotor Wash! - @AllInARMA AH-1Z My ARMA 3 Steam Screenshot Library

1-2 FPS on Altis and 60 fps on stratis.

Object Quality seems to have the greatest influence with regards to this 0 to 5 FPS issue. It can vastly change the total object count within the player's field of view (including objects hiding behind other objects which aren't even being rendered, objects behind terrain appear to get culled). With regards to the heavy stuttering the total complexity (textures and polygons) doesn't seem to be an issue, just the object count. Lowering the setting shortens the LOD distances and culls smaller objects at much shorter distances. You will experience more LOD-pop and pop-in/-out closer than the Object View Distance but Objects very close to the player still have high levels of detail.

From HERE The developer fix seems to be to throw more resources at it, in this case increasing the Virtual RAM. This may very well work for you. If it does not, then consider creating pagefiles on each HDD in your machine. Arma 2 used to stutter a lot for me until I created a second pagefile on a second disc. DON'T put a pagefile on any SSDs unless you want to replace them sooner than later ;)

After some investigation I have discovered that the following file is at fault {Arma 3}\Addons\map_altis_data.pbo Renaming this file's extention (e.g. map_altis_data.pbox) will allow you to run Altis without the issue as described. You will get errors but they are non-fatal. This file contains (among other things): Map Images (Terrain and thumb) Other assorted images Road data You still get roads, but the AI probably wont follow them. I've already reported this information to the Feedback site.
