    PhysX3_x86.dll Crash

    The physx crashing was bad before but now its even worse, well done BI. NEVER PATCH ON FUCKING FRIDAYS.
  2. Repeated crashes every few hours, im really sick of this shit. The Game worked fine for a time and now i get this crash all the fucking time for no reason at all, sometimes its in the middle of nowhere mostly it happens when i enter the sights of a vehicle weapon (mounted gun, blackfoot gunner sights) Please fix the fucking issues with nvidia cards...     Dont release a game with major bugs like this and others (I will only say one word: Co-Pilot) that have been in since beginning of alpha and you will get less useless complain posts. I shall happily send all my error logs to that emailadress you provided.

    Uh, you know not everyone is in an arma clan and theres something called public matches where you will not be able to coordinate anything beyond "everyone go there" I know that about 95% of this forum have a clan to play with and do not understand why arma's mechanics must work for chaotic public matches as well.

    well if an elite pilot like you, who has probably logged 1000s of hours as a pilot, has absolutely no trouble, there cant be anything wrong with the flares.

    Its too bad when you dont know where the AA is, huh ? Also i know what im doing and the point still stands, AA Missiles are too powerful due to the uselessness of flares. There is no arguing about that point. Flares were completely fine a few weeks ago, theyre simply bugged right now.

    Thats about my impression of this conversation, too. All good Tips, so what do i do when im flying an attack helicopter? Do i fly at 15 meter altitude because anything else will get me killed thanks to the useless flares ? Yep thats gonna be fun. Also, try playing tactical warfare once, where an AA soldier could be everywhere at any time. (Awaiting the hate for any map that is not a thoroughly scripted mission)

    Well i cant say i didnt expect the usual group of veteran "pros" showing up and saying theres absolutely nothing wrong with the flares, youre a bad pilot if you get even targeted and the usual blahblahblah. THEY DO ALMOST NOTHING AT THE MOMENT ! place 10 AA soldiers in the arma 2 editor and fly over them with an attack helicopter, watch how you will be able to evade every missile as long as you spam flares, put your rear towards the enemy and are high enough in the air. Now try the same thing in Arma 3 and then tell me theres absolutely nothing wrong with flares. You realize that Bohemia's goal was never to make a 100% realistic military simulation, they want to make a semi-realistic tactical military shooter/simulation that is still fun to play, just look at the way injuries are handled in this game. Im pretty sure i saw a statement of a developer once saying that, unless im horribly wrong and imagined that. Im all for realism anyway but flares doing nothing IS NOT REALISTIC.

    As realistic as arma wants to be it also wants to be a game, not real life. It is simply not fun (and yes a game is about fun) when youre that helpless as a pilot. You have ACE if you want more realism. The System in Arma 2 was fun and completely fair. If you used flares immediately after a missile has been launched you were usually safe ( if you were a fair distance away), as it should be in a computer game.

    So i was very happy to discover that they finally added sounds when you get a missle lock-on. I was not happy when i discovered that they apparently nerfed flares big time. A few weeks before when there was no sound the flares did something atleast and if you used them early enough (if you saw the tiny dot on your radar) you had a very good chance of evading missiles. Now ive been playing on Altis in the editor, spawned a few groups of AA squads over the map and lifted off... I dont even get past the first group... No matter whether i spam flares immediately as soon as i have a lock-on (which is a horrible waste of flares and leaves you dry in no time) or wait until the rockets start flying, in 8 times out of 10 the rockets will hit me no matter what. If 5 rockets come for me and i spam flares 3-5 of them hit me every time. It also makes no difference whether i fly low or high, or whether i turn my rear to the shooter (which i usually do, i found it the best way to guarantee an evasion, atleast in ArmA 2) Please restrain yourself on comments like "learn to fly" or similar things, i have no problems whatsoever to evade missiles in ArmA 2. Compared to Arma 2 the flares a bad joke right now. I seriously hope this gets balanced properly because it is absolutely 0 fun to fly an helicopter at the moment when all it takes is one douche with an AA launcher.
  12. bottlenecked basically means that either your cpu or your graphics card is not fully utilized because one or the other is considerably worse than the other. CPU and graphics card need to work together to produce results. Look at your CPU usage when you have the game running, is it high or low? (it should be high, if its low youre bottlenecked) EDIT: atleast i think so, im not an expert on the matter.
  13. How much FPS do you have in singleplayer? Also, did you try different servers?
  14. Reviving this Thread since this is still an issue. Im concerned that there is still no audio warning for missile lock-ons 1 month before release... I keep getting shot down on multiplayer servers because i miss a rocket launch while im doing some risky flying maneuvers and did not look on the radar for 1 second (staring on it all the time is not fun either) Please dont forget to add this, take the old sounds from Arma 2, I dont care.
