So how does this work? is there a tutorial of some sort? or is it still buged. So send a probe to a mission area. but it was still dark on mars. selected the wait command for 5 hours or so, and i wanted the probe to take a photo after the 5 hour wait. Could not get it to work. and are the photo's then saves some where? to view in game?

Great idea Demongornot, When i first bought this game it was al about the rovers. Now it seems the game is all about multiplay. It saddens me a bit. I hope they will look in to the rovers more.

reading the road map. I've read nothing about the real time signal delay for the rovers or any change on the missions for the rovers. Is this abandoned? it is all about multilayer now.

seems to be fixed now. however, still can not ad multiple commands. example: wait 2h photo cyc-wide1 wait 2h photo cyc-wide1 when i send these commands to a probe. it only takes one picture. and i have to connect to the probe first in order to get the command working. And it would be nice that i didn't have to connect to the probe to see the picture. in the map mode, For example i issue the orders of taking 2 pictures 2hours apart. so when i log in the game after 5 hours. I expect to find 2 pictures taken in the map mode where i can see the pictures. Now when i want to see the pictures i can not see any pictures taken. I have to be connected to the probe in order to make the first picture. And then i only get one picture instead of the 2 that i programed in... so it works but still buggy....

one more question: it would be nice if there was an option that the controlling of a probe or rover was only done using this script method. Now you can switch between them. maneuvering manually feels like cheating to me :)

Ok thx for the update.

but tje problem is that i can get in the command line the waiting period programed. But how does the command line look for taking a picture then? i got something like this: wait 5h this is ok. as i can see a green ok text or something like that, ad i can add this line to the command sequence. With the photo command it doesn't work that way or i can not get it to work. i write something like "photo (the desired camera)" but the command line gives a error message and i can not add the line in the command que. could you give me an example of how a command structure is supposed to look?

I haven't played in a while, So when i tried the career mode it put me directly in a Russian rover with a starting date somewhere in 1971. The camera moves by it self to the right, tho it is controllable with my mouse. It keeps moving to the right. That's it I'm stuck in a old Russian rover in 1971 on mars, and i can not go to the control room. So how doe i get out of this? Is this a new tutorial mode? Any help would be appreciated.

Nice Concept, but Lack of Freedom

why does everybody want to land the rover. Landings were automatic. i like it the way it is. I hope the devs will keep thing realistic, or as a option that i can turn it on or off. -

it would be much more rewarding if you could direct the mission around the map for your self. point out landing sites, and coordinates that need more examination. It would be nice to have a sort of lores map of the area taken from a satellite. then pointing out interesting features that you want to sent a rover there. Once you've send a rover, you first have to preform a systems check (which depending on difficulty setting could take a x amount of time and on hardcore mode would take several hours) In the mean time the rover could gather high res pictures of the sounding area, to be used in furure exploration which are overlayed over the lowres image of the satellite. From there you could pinpoint interesting rocks to sample, and plot your way to that rock. once at the rock there should be a order of doing things: example once at the desired rock there should be made detailed photo's of the rock to determine a good drilling spot. Once that is done a drilling spot should be determined and the drilling commenced. And at the end a analasys should be done. (not every rock should give results or some rocks could give partial results. This gives us a reason to do exploration. Trying to find hidden scientific clues) once a clue has been found it should be presented in a scientific way, with nice pictures of some sort, and not in a annoying popup in the rover screen. Or better yet the results could be analyzed by the crew at home and after some time the results could be shown in a sort of scientific paper. Therefore not knowing whether your first dril was a good one. The same goes for photographing things. The rover screen should be kept as clean as possible. Mission clues should be given in the control room an not on the rover screen, in my opinion. Only info about the rover and some weather data should be present. After all it is your space program, now it seems to scripted. and everything is easy to find. It should be an exploration and a sandbox type of game. All the scientific info about mars already discovered should be in game to be discovered in game, and maybe more could be added. But it should not be a easy task. ---------- Post added at 11:11 ---------- Previous post was at 11:10 ---------- maybe this is to much to ask....and overly ambitious. -

I agree completely, Some missions are just too short. Take 2 pictures and a soil sample and that 's it... Would be nice to set up your own sience program. And i don't like the pop ups when you're done with one assignment. It has a console feel to it and not a sim feeling. -
Please give us the ability to set an automatic timer for photography!

why??
