I do have both Arma II and OA. I love both Arma II and Arma III, but I have to admit that you're right: Arma II tutorials really stink!

Hello! Have bought Arma III several months back, so I went ahead and purchased Arma II on Steam. Everything looks great, but the tutorial is giving me absolute fits! I can go and run the obstacle course just fine. Once done, I run to the firing range. The instructor tells me to fire off a few rounds before trying the range, and I do this. Once I am ready, the instructor doesn't tell me anything else! I go to the waypoint, I can squat and fire, crouch and fire, and go prone and fire, but the instructor doesn't speak to me any more. I can run up to him, and run around, but nothing! What am I doing wrong???
