  1. Agreed, but I'm gonna have quite a different emotional & mental response when I see either smashing on the ground. Look, what I try to understand here is 'why' this 'gore issue' is such an important element in this game. Because it happens in reality? That's not a good enough answer for me personally to convince me of its necessity. I see other priorities in this game, related to reality, which I prefer to be improved/implemented before we move on to the subject of 'in-game gore', such as AI tactics, rag-doll physics, weather influence, ...
  2. I'm not trying to change anybody's mind. I find it sad that you jump to this conclusion though. I'm trying to understand here why 'gore' is so in demand? How would the game and its players benefit from it on the long run? Will adding gore make Arma a better game? If yes, please clarify. I can agree that an improved wounding system is desired (like ACE is trying to implement), and I support this. But I wonder where to draw the line when I comes to implementing the graphic side of gore.
  3. Sorry, but the comparison between the smashing of a human body and an egg does not add up with me.
  4. I don't understand that if you have seen enough gore in real life, how you could possibly ask/want more? It just doesn't make sense to me at all, on the contrary I would expect the opposite.
  5. I don't think you need 'gore' to understand that war has consequences. I also don't think you can compare this 'wargame' to 'war in real life'. It's a game and it should stay a game. Please tell me what is the added value of 'more gore' within this game? Fixed typo
  6. I honestly don't see the added value of 'more gore' in this game. If you want 'more gore' why don't you go google some images and see how long you can deal with reality. There's no need to bring all of reality into a game, life is real enough for that and I like games to be a welcome distraction from that.
  7. I do agree that the server list interface needs a serious overhaul. It's just not up to today's standards. The amount of filtering available is too limited and not even doing a good job at this moment. Let's hope that at full release of the game, or after release in the form of a patch this old-school problem gets addressed in the Arma-series. Generally I guess we all hope that Arma3, on the short or long run, incorporate those changes which the community has been asking since the days of OFP.
  8. Hello, Age: 35 Location: Belgium (GMT +1) Languages: English, Dutch, French I'm looking for a 'serious fun' clan. Preferably a clan that makes uses of the ACE, ACRE & STHUD mods. A microphone, lots of motivation, respect and maturity are in my possession to become a valuable member. Please note however that I'm not willing to call anyone 'Sir' or similar kinda names (if I miss that I'll just go back to the army). I search a clan where teamwork, maturity, dedication, honesty and respect are keywords and where's room for fun & jokes within the clan-community. I'm willing to make time free to attend training and operations, however I do expect the clan to understand that next to gaming I have real life responsibilities (wife, kids, work, etc.). Due to working as a nurse, I will not be able to attend every training or operation as my hours change on a weekly basis (work early, late, weekends). On the other hand this probably aids me in qualifying for a medical position within a squad I guess ;). Anyhow, is there a clan out that seeks members where my profile would fit as a glove? Please contact me and I'll reply asap. Thanks for taking the time to read my application,
