In the mission I'm making, your team is given the task of lazing some targets, but the CAS is shot down on its way over, and your new task is assigned to rescue the downed pilot. I have so far, the Wipeout flying past, exploding on cue, the pilot ejecting on cue, and falling into the correct area. A "Task Cancelled: Laze targets" and "Task Assigned: Rescue pilot" task pop up on cue. Both of those are synced to a trigger which blows up the Wipeout as it passes through. What I need is for the "Laze targets" task to come up first thing as soon as the mission starts. Then I need a way to delete the waypoint I have put on the laze target, and create a new one to "Join and Lead" the pilot. For all the tasks I'm using the Task Module to make things easier for myself.

Hmm…oh well I'll just have to download J.S.R.S. as much as I prefer SoS. Anything is better over the current sounds.

I just installed the SoS mod, and it manages to the main menu where it says: "No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgWeapons/arilfe_MX_F/Single.StandardSound'." The mod is located in Steamapps > Common > ArmA 3 > @SpeedOfSoundRC1 > addons I've tried changing it to ArmA 3 > @SpeedOfSoundRC1 > @SpeedOfSound > addons but this just uses the default weapon sounds. Help?

Data file too short error with lots of mods?

About 5 mods I've tried using have failed to work, the loading screen gets to "Loading Addons" before givng me this error: Data file too short 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\addpms\._ivory_f15c.pbo'. Expected 538976309 B, got 4096 B Not only the F15 mod but heaps of others. Any ideas or fixes? -
I'm making a mission in which a bunch of guys parachute down from a helicopter. So far I've used the "guy1 action ["eject", heli1"]; for the units to jump, but I have a problem: The units cannot carry a backpack and a parachute, so the amount of supplies they can bring is limited. Is there a way to spawn a crate or something and have that drop down with them?

There is the LEA(?) mod that is on the workshop that allows you to edit the weapon, accessories, clothing, backpacks etc... I'm not 100% on the name, but just type "Loadout editor" into Steam workshop.

Is that the appmanifest file? What exactly do I need to do with that?

I'll start by saying, my internet sucks. So, I got a friend to give me the ArmA 3 folder (the one in the steamapps folder) so that I can put it into my steamapps folder, click install on ArmA 3, and then be done, without any of my limited data being used. Problem is, when I tried it, the ArmA 3 folder goes from, ~13gb down to ~4gb, as steam is "Discovering existing files for ArmA III"... Steam starts deleting all of the .pbo files, which take up the majority of the games size, and so I have a 7.7gb download left. Do the .pbo's get updated with every other update? Why is it doing this? I've done this a few times, and it has worked, but this time it doesn't. I could run the executable straight from the ArmA 3 folder, and it would run fine, albeit with a few errors here and there, but now it doesn't work. Any ideas?

Hello Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but this is getting unbearable. Whenever I'm playing, the game just freezes, the audio continues, (sometimes it repeats the last tiny clip of audio, over and over), but the picture is frozen. I can never fluently play a mission with out having to CTRL+ALT+DEL out. Task Manager says that Arma 2 is not responding. Sometimes I can play for 15 minutes, others it could be less than 1 minute. This only happens ingame, never at the menu or in the editor. I could play the game perfectly fine about 2 months ago. I took a break from it, and now its a mess. I have a lot of mods installed, but I had the same ones installed a few months ago and they run fine. Please help.

Hello, I found out about Iron Front for ArmA III, and decided to have a look at it. I installed "@IFA3" in PlayWith6, and it subsequently installed AiA and CBA. Now whenever I run ArmA III I get this error message: "Addon 'AiA_Characters_IF_Clothing_LIB_GER_Infantry' requires addon 'LIB_core'" Clicking OK takes me to this error: "No entry 'config.bin.tooltipDelay'." Then the game starts up, and closes, and I'm met with this error: "Shaders not valid (mismatch of exe and data?)" It "worked" when I launched it with PW6, but the Iron Front units weren't there. There was ArmA II maps and units, but no WW2 ones. However PW6 says that I have ArmA III Alpha installed, and not the full release. Pw6 and ArmA III are at the latest updates. Now launching ArmA III from Steam doesn't work at all. Looking in My Documents showed an ArmA III Alpha folder; inside was "@IFA3, @AiA and @CBA". I moved these over into my ArmA III steamapps folder, and thats where the errors have started. Please help.

I can't find any on the multiplayer list, and when I do, there is always 0 players and 300 ping. I have ACE, the AAW mod and (too) many other mods installed, so I'll be happy to play any. No wasteland, DayZ, etc etc please. I heard that using PW6 will show me a lot more servers, but I can't find where to look for servers? (i never really had any use with pw6). Please help!

Trying to make a large mission, and its not working at all

So basically, I have 4 trucks with Russian soldiers who are going to take Stary Sobor. The trucks are initially positioned in some other village, and then they drive near Stary and drop the troops off. The trucks are all grouped together and the leader has a 'TRANSPORT UNLOAD' waypoint going to the drop-off point. Problem number 1, ALL of the trucks drive at about 15 km/h. Even with time sped up it takes forever. I've tried setting the waypoint speed to 'full' but that doesn't change anything. Problem number 2, after I seperated the trucks from some of the other vehicles (tanks, support trucks, pick-ups...) they have decided to stop half-way through their drive and drop the troops off there. Before, only the truck I was in would drive to the drop off point, all the others would unload their passengers where they spawned. Problem number 3, the player is the leader of the group, but there is other playable characters. If I switch to another player, the AI leader just goes brain dead. He stands still and doesn't carry on with the mission. None of the other units grouped to him move either. Problem number 4, the only time the mission worked (sort of) was when my group disembarked from the truck, but then the AI leader just ran away from the target. Completely avoiding the objective! Would any of these be caused by the mods I'm using? The only one I think would have an effect on these problems is ZeusAI. Should I disable that? Please help, before I go insane. -

For example the landing pads. If you place an invisible one, most of the time it is around the wrong way, and when I play the mission, I only find out once the entire crew is dead. There needs to be arrows or something showing what direction the helicopter is going to land on. Thoughts? -

Hello, I have made some missions where this has worked effectively, but it doesn't work all the time. I can get a helicopter to land and pick up soldiers, and then carry them off, but I want to know how to make the helicopter arrive later. Right now I put a waypoint for the troops to 'GET IN', and then a waypoint for the helicopter 'LOAD', and then synchronising the two. The helicopter turns up ASAP, but I need some time for the soldiers to do their thing, and be picked up on command, if possible. And, if someone can provide me with a way for helicopters to land / provide CAS on *whatever colour* smoke, that would be awesome :) Secondly, to put it simply, how do I get the AI to use mortars / howitzers? How could I designate a spot for them to fire on? Thanks
