Hello all,
Recently I have upgraded my PC, and as such I had to reformat my Windows drive, and I also had to reinstall several games (including ARMA 2) which are on my storage drive. After having deleted all local files for ARMA2, Operation Arrowhead and all the DLCs, I reinstalled them again. Everything worked perfectly, but all three of the DLC refuse to install.
Here is what I have tried:
1) Deleted all traces of ARMA2/ARMA 2 OA (remove local files, deleted from the registry, deleted Bohemia Interactive Software in the ProgramData folder).
2) Installed ARMA2, updated it, ran it. Then installed ARMA 2: OA, updated it, ran it. Installed BAF, updated it, ran it. Installed PMC, updated it, ran it.
3) Run Steam as administrator, then install and run the DLC after verifying the Steam cache.
4) Renaming the ACR in "DLCSetup" to ACR.old, then verify the Operation Arrowhead cache.
Everything to no avail. When I run Operation Arrowhead the ACR installer doesn't even show up, and when I run BAF or PMC it loads for a second, then nothing happens. Running Combined Operations directly from the ARMA 2 folder does nothing either. Running "datacachepreprocessor.exe" in any of the DLCsetup/BAF or PMC or ACR does nothing.
The issue is that the DLC simply is not installed. The DLC is added in Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead/DLCsetup, which contains the necessary folders, but no ACR/BAF/PMC folder is created in the Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead folder itself. The registry does list the keys for all the DLCs, and add subfolders under "Expansions". I have no clue how to solve this, any ideas?
Here's my dxdiag for those who need it.
