ALiVE - Advanced Light Infantry Virtual Environment
messfunkt replied to wolffy.au's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I've been learning how to set up Alive missions and seem to have run into a bug. I searched this thread and couldn't find any other mention of the issue. I'm learning how to set up the profile system and created a group with a simple move and cycle waypoint patrol. I set the profiler spawn radius to 50 just to test it out. The group would start following waypoints like normal, and then disappear once outside of the spawn radius. Once they return within the radius, they reappear as expected but stop following their waypoints. I increased the spawn radius so that they wouldn't disappear and they followed the spawn points like normal. Any ideas? Apologies if I'm missing something silly here. -
Seems to be a problem with the bisign for tmr_autorest.pbo--get an error when using TMR and trying to connect to my dedicated server: "Wrong signature for file C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\@tmr\addons\tmr_autorest.pbo" Double checked to make sure everything was set up fine on both ends (including making sure tmr_alt.bikey was installed). Anyone else seeing this?

TMR is one of my group's main addons. Would definitely be interested in seeing more updates!

Thanks a lot for confirming. Kind of new to running servers and was so caught up in there being more to the issue that I didn't go back to basics--@a3mp wasn't even properly loaded in my mod list. I should probably be banned from video games :P

So this appears to only happen on dedicated servers, not a locally hosted server... a friend was able to join when we tried this and it worked fine. Has anyone else successfully run these maps on a dedicated server?

Did a little digging to see if I could figure out what was causing this. I've never had AIA installed so it was weird seeing an error referring to it. Just for fun, I downloaded the base AIA files and put aia_worlds.pbo, aia_core.pbo and loadaftera3data_c_pvpscene.pbo in the addons folder of my server and client (chose these files based on errors I was receiving upon loading aia_worlds by itself), along with bisign and bikey files. Interestingly, I was then able to at least get into the server lobby where before it would freeze up on loading, spamming the message about aia_worlds_ambient in the .rpt. Unfortunately (and unsurprisingly), the server crashes when trying to load the map. It generated a minidump file upon crashing but I'm not sure how to extract any information from those. It does seem there are some dependencies on AIA files for Chernarus at least--I haven't tried the other maps yet. Alduric, any ideas?

Getting the following error on the .rpt on my server when trying to load Chernarus: 22:32:49 Warning Message: You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.aia_worlds_ambient 22:32:49 Missing addons detected: 22:32:49 aia_worlds_ambient Any ideas? Everything is up to date.

Does the issue reported here occur for you?

I posted an issue to the feedback tracker regarding the surround sound issue I've been seeing: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=10145 While it focuses on the voiceover problem I've seen a few people report, I imagine most of the issues described in this thread are related somehow.

5.1 / Surround sound not working

I'm on the dev build. The issue you're describing is exactly what's happening for me. The weird thing is, if I start the game up using a non-USB set of headphones, the problem goes away. Not sure if it's something to do with USB headsets or if it is a surround sound headset thing. Other people have reported the issue here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?157247-Sourround-sound-problems-DEVs-take-notice -

Same here with a Logitech G35 in stereo or surround mode. Doesn't happen with a regular set of headphones. Testing on the firing range, the range officer's voiceover can not be heard if you look straight at him. Turning to one side or the other makes him barely audible.
