  1. Ok, so about a few weeks ago, I purchased Arma 2 Combined Operations off Steam. They finish downloading, and I am very anxious to play this game. I launch it, it then shows the loading screens and whatnot. I skip everything, and when I get to the original menu, instead of seeing the scenery the background is trying to depict, I get very thin scalene triangles scattered all over my screen. They just flicker, covering nearly 90% of my screen. They seem to move around in random locations, and it's all over the place. So, as the only visible thing on my screen is the menu box, I go into settings and try to lower as many unnecessary features I really don't care for. I am willing to sacrifice quality/graphics if it means the game will run smoothly. I put every setting I possibly could on low and/or very low. Anti-aliasing, shadows, etc. I then had the idea to go in-game to see if it went away, but it didn't. It still looked that same as my menu screen. I can't seem to find a solution to this. It might be a hardware problem that maybe some components don't have the capacity to run such games. Then again, I'm no hardware guy. I'm a software guy myself. Here are my specs: Processor: Intel® Core i5 CPU M430 2.27GHz 2.27GHz RAM: 4.00 GB (3.80GB usable) Graphics Card: Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator HD System type: 64-bit OS I have a huge feeling it may be my graphics card, but I can never trust myself as I am not a hardware person. Help in fixing this would be much appreciated, and even if there is no other solution than to buy new stuff, thanks anyway.
