I have tried.. and tried.. and f****ng tried, and I am SICK to death of this bullshit error that I continuously keep getting no matter what I try and do.
Basically... I have a group of friends.. their names are Llama, Tronix, XP and WMD.
So... I have hosted ArmA 2 servers plenty of times before and more friends play with us usually, doing co-op missions, or deathmatch missions. However, Llama and Tronix both recently bought the game, last week, and when we attempted to play, they could not join my locally hosted server, and I could not join theirs', both servers showing a 25000 red ping. I get the connecting failed error, they do also when trying to join my server.
However WMD and XP could always, and still continues to join my server. I can join XP's and WMD's server, as can Llama and Tronix both join their servers. XP and WMD can join Llama's and Tronix's server. But I cannot join Llama's or Tronix's, and vice versa.
I have searched.. for days for fixes and found nothing that works.
Roughly, we have tried:
UPNP / Port Forwarding
Restarting Routers
Updating Battleye
Verifying game caches
Running game outside of steam as Administrator, and running Steam as Administrator
Direct Remote IP joining in-game
That is just a few things we have tried, but we have tried many more.
I also reinstalled Windows last night, which leads me to believe it is internet related, because I re downloaded my game fresh and no mods on either side have been installed or messed around with.
If it's any relation, Llama, Tronix and I all come from NZ which has two ISP's, I am on Telecom, they on Vodafone. I'm unsure if ISP's conflict with each other in this manor, but I'm pretty sure that it makes no difference. Thought I'd mention it anyway.
I'll bump daily, but please, PLEASE for the Love of Jehovah help me in anyway you can. I just want to play with my friends, and it's becoming an excessive burden.
Thanks
Jewish.
EDIT: I have discovered, that by giving my IP to Llama, he can join my using the remote option. I also went into my RPT file, and discovered it stated ' NAT Negotiation failed (NNThink - result 3) ' and from what I understand NNThink is a string of Gamespy API I believe. I could be wrong. But also, I have had a strict NAT type for as long as I can remember, which could be the ' result 3 ' of the string.
But the people that could join me previously, might have had an open NAT type, whereas Llama had maybe a moderate or a strict.
