  1. Funny, that's not true at all. The mission which was used for the competition had no third party code in it anymore and was completely changed and optimized for the sub optimal product called A3.

    Anyway, you still don't have permission to release or modify the mission!

    I simply don't want to see anything I've made being used in A3. That's what I've asked you multiple times and you still refuse to follow that reuqest.

    Edit: I'm too ill (for months already) for this kind of bullshit. Please just follow my request!

    Sorry your so ill through all the stress of this and other things Xeno, but i would suggest you check you released version more thoroughly before you claim that there was no 3rd party content within it. I like Tankbuster have spent months going through every file to find my own work and also a n others (Not just Tankbusters') that you incorporated in to this competition entry. You were happy to collaborate with us when it suited you and i can only presume due to your illness or current situation that you have become jaded and forgotten the help in bug finding in previous versions that happened on the HX forums.

    As for breaking your agreement, it was asked and replied to within your steam thread that ANY one could put a version of the competition entry on a server but not to publicly release it and YOU said that was fine by you. Tankbuster or myself have and do not intend on breaking any previous agreements we have had with you and we have also kept in anything you deemed necessary such as the no streaming messages.

    I wish you well and hope your situation improves... but as the gentlemen said above, you are not doing yourself any favors by acting this way and hope you will reconsider your actions and comments as i wouldn't like to remember you in this way. I also would like to think that the community would like to remember you as being the respected coder creator of Domination and Ace that we all know you are deep down...

    I genuinely wish you well and hope this can be resolved in an adult manor

    EDIT - You may wish to consult SWEC3 and see how many OTHER people are using and playing on EDITED versions of your competition release... i can only assume that as Tankbuster has said, you are persecuting us and only us?? As i know the other versions on there wont be unedited.

    Why cant you see it and feel proud that people are wanting to play your mission?.. Very sad if you cant :(


  2. Sling loading limits are based on mix of reality and ingame flight model - Huron can lift up to 10 tons, Taru can lift 12 tons. For example, weight of Marid is 18,6 tons. For Slammer it's 65 tons. Transporting heavier cargo is topic we are definitely aware of, but at this moment I can't promise you anything.

    Btw. you can change weight of cargo via setMass command and lift tanks, but be aware that mass influences driving model and some other things so we can't guarantee that there won't be strange behavior.

    And where aare these weights/masses shown? im struggling to find within the Config, without having to open them up to find it. Im looking to store the weights of the vehicles in an array.. presume by using

    _loadweight = getNumber(configFile/"CfgVehicles"/(typeOf _vehicle)/"weight"); last entry isnt correct.. can you fill the blank please :)


  3. Yeah I dunno trying a differnt one now that just enables it via the init line of the ammo box vs the other one that had a named box an other code to get it to work. Seems like maybe Domination did'nt like the 1st one so if this one works will use til you guys come up with something more stable. Funny thing about ArmA editing is it can be either very easy to use or flat out just breaks everything or causes unwanted effects.:j:

    It works to a fashion but the save of Domination itself over writes the VR save. I couldn't get the SAVEs in VR to recall/loadup. I had 5 profiles and all appeared grayed out. Not over impressed with the way it does it and also think the icons are nigh on useless. As a non Vas enthusiast i cant comment on that in comparison to VR. Having pre set load outs is a nice idea and would save time but in my eyes negates the need for a fancy loadout option as once you have set your kit and saved various options like Engineer/medic/Pilot etc you wont need to do much other than click and load saved loadout... guess each to their own.


  4. Some of you dont know how lucky you really are. Other games i know of have given far less... most of you wont bother with the DLC and use Arma 2 stuff instead or other mods or addons anyway.

    Stop bitching and if you dont like it go move on to another game where you dont have dlc you have to pay for.. For instance... go check out Train Simulator 2015.. not everyones cup of tea but see what the DLC content is like on there.. Steam Cost is £2505.10p and see what you get on there for 1 model .. £11.99.. so in theory what BIS is offering isnt bad value for money

    Buy it or dont its your choice but dont slag BIS off for trying to do something to recoup costs.

    No, I certainly wouldn't, bu I still feel mission makers should transport the heavy armors by other means, like that one addon that allows you load stuff into trucks, or use a cutscene or something, it just feels so wrong to see an MBT hanging from any helo that's in the game.

    And using IGI load and stuffing a MBT in the back of a Hemtt isnt wrong too :) Not being funny but a helo such as the Huron wouldnt look that bad... just seems odd you have a cab hemtt but nothing to tow from it? be happy to drive a convoy with Hemtts and low loaders.


  6. You can use e.g setMass to script around that if you must move armor during a mission.

    I'd personally find it very odd if any of the ingame helos would be able to carry an MBT.

    Would you want to drive a MBT from Feres to Kavala? Some missions require you to go across the island. Whilst i appreciate in the real world it doesn't, but unless they can add a low loader trailer to that cab thing that doesn't appear to have any other use then helos with a frigged setmass here we come... Im not driving 30km AT 20KMPH....

  7. We already have "sling loading" on our server (for some time now). Although it's just a simple attach to script it works pretty well. With that being said, I will upgrade the mission to all of the new sling loading system brought by BIS. Have they (BIS) mentioned anything about allowing us mission devs to modify the sling loading parameters?

    This is my issue too as we were hoping to do away with all addons and be able to have decent choppers to do the jobs. We currently use an addon as the Blufor choppers because they are woeful for a heavy lift, we were aiming to be addon free with this DLC but now it seems we will have to modify configs to uprate the weights and still have to use an addon??

    Although not technically real life, we tend to heavy lift track vehicles across Altis because of the size. I cant see anyone wanting to drive a tank from the airbase to Kavala for a main target!!?! So what are BIS going to do? I would vote for a Low trailor for that cab that doesnt do alot. Or have some form of code overwrite to allow mission makers to by pass the config coded weight systems and invent your own specific ones instead. Otherwise this is going nowhere for anything over 5 tons... which is most of the vehicles in Arma 3. Nice touch with the logisitcs containers but movement of vehicles is logistics too.

  8. I poked you on Steam but I figure I will bring it up here too.

    My group has have run into a lot of issues with Side Missions breaking and being unrecoverable. Which means we are stuck doing main missions. This is really burdensome when its within the first one to two side missions. Not blaming you, since this has other people involvement in the past.

    But I am just wondering if its possible too add in a system similar to admin spectate, that would allow an admin to force fail a mission or something similar. This way if it is broken, I don't have to restart my server just because of a single missions, losing the few things we had unlocked. Or if in a long running server, all of the things we unlocked. The side missions are the best part IMHO.

    I have sent you a friends request on Steam. if you can please message me with as much info about the sidemissions you have had failed, i e Mission Number from RPT and also description of issue then i can solve them. Might be easier for you to be added to our bug tracker via me or Tanky that way you can add issues there which will be easier to fix for us. We have spread ourselves thin of late but i have spent a fair bit of time ironing out a lot of silly errors within side missions. Im hoping we are more on top of the bugs than we were before.

  9. We did have a minor issue with the mission not accepting settings on a /#restart. Best to always start with a /#missions then change settings. Didnt figure out why.

    As for engineer... the parameters set at the start work ok for us... but we dont us the analyze repair.. will look into it...

    The cloudy sky is the new weather system in or are you meaning the draw distance? You can set your own draw distance in the U (U and 1 together ) menu so you shouldn't have to restart the mission from that perspective.

    Is chopper landing spot on exact landing spot?

    Also,please re-itterate,

    you place a group "alpha" in editor,on trigger when group is dead,reinforcement chopper should land at marker/player with fresh infantry.(how many?)

    It wont work,but if you put the reinforcement chopper to land via trigger when "bravo" is dead,it works?

    I will attempt to replicate now.

    I just tried to replicate,naming group alpha,and when group is dead,reinforcement helo comes in.

    It works fine for me.

    The only time it dosent is when i put the chopper landing spot on false for exact landing spot.

    Thats probably the issue.

    Something to do with how arma tells helos to find suitableposition,been an issue for a while now.

    We have changed the start end parameters for how it looks for a area and also changed the size of the area to suit our helos... worked fine last night. maybe not as random in its searches for places but 20 helos all landed and troops disembarked fine.

  11. Yes on a dedicated server. I really like domination and you have done a great job with this port. Will you be adding any more than 23 slots?

    The reason behind the 23 slots was to maintain some kind of level. When we changed it to 23 server issues were rife and there wasnt much point in having 40 players on to then have the server crash. If the perfs carry on the way they are going (onwards and upwards :) with server performance im sure we may look to increase the amount accordingly. AFAIK Domi has always been 40 so may look to add in to 30 as a tester in the not too distant future..
