Gnat, the word "donation" means gift, non compulsory, given in free will. No one is forced to pay - people can pay if they love the mod and want to support the server costs. If it was compulsory and a requirement for entry to the server then it wouldn't be called a "donation", it would be called a "fee". Sorry to butt into this discussion but I just wanted to make sure you understood that it really is just a donation. Just like every other gaming community runs on donations too.

About the Cessna, is it really 'for profit' if all the funds go into server hosting fees?

I noticed donating gets me access to your test builds. Would that mean I can get in right now if I did that?

Have the problems with the website/forums delayed your release schedule? I know "the 23rd" was probably an optimistic date anyway but is it sometime this week at least?

@Arma3Life Can I ask some questions about your background? Did you ever make stuff for Arma 2? Did you ever play life modes in Arma2 and if so, which ones? Have you seen the custom versions of your Stratis/Altis life made by clans, and do you see anything you can add from theirs into Arma3Life?

They have a website where you can sign up. However, they're adding in the forums first before accepting sign ups. I'm sure there will be an update on this forum topic when the time comes.

Ignore the people complaining about the USA theme. You've done amazing work and it all looks fantastic. Going back to reskin everything would just take precious time that could be spent on something more important. Maybe down the line once the major work is done you can go back but right now it's way down the list of things to do.

Easy, stick a cooldown on it. Plenty of ways to balance it without it costing money. Putting a price on it is just lazy balancing. Right now I'm done with this if incomes aren't improved or servicing vehicles isn't free. Arma 2 Bennys was about having 4 tanks under my control and in Arma 3 I can barely afford the upkeep of having a single tank.

@Benny Seems you're determined to make rearming & repairing cost money, even when I'm sat next to a fully functional ammo/repair truck. Seems you're having trouble understanding why it needs to be free. I just spent $500-600 on a truck and then had to wait for it to drive to the front lines. Then I'm expected to pay again just to use it. No thanks. Resolve this game breaking issue please.

3rd person vehicles is a must for me unfortunately. I'm not a noob I just cany fly. :D

I love it. I've always preferred being a clean civ. Having cops stop me in my fine-ass car and finding nothing, the disappointed tone of their voices :D

The car factory was where it's at in Arma2. If you get there first then you can make hundreds of thousands in no time. I hope there's an equivalent in A3.

He means different grades of cop. Newer cops to deal with traffic stuff like hit and run/speeding. Then the "FBI" for more serious stuff like drug running, bank robberies, etc. Nope, not retarded at all. The modders can use whatever vehicles and uniforms they like in my view. So long as civs and cops can be easily identified. Right now civs with chest rigs look like cops and it can all get confusing. :D

You must have been playing on some really crap servers then. The only time I ever had a character wipe in Arma2 life games was when a major overhaul of the game/hardware happened.

Like the above guy kinda mentioned. A lock for the driver seat and a separate lock for the passenger seats. Right now doing taxi stuff is just a case of "how long before the guy just shoots me and takes the car once I hit unlock."

The commander has to tell them to become 'mechanized'. Initially the AI just start in the 'infantry' role and move about the map on foot.

Surely you could have paid to use the name 'Littlebird' instead of 'Hummingbird', or 'Kamaz' instead of 'Zamak'? You were able to do it in Arma2 so what stopped you now? Arma2 was so immersive simply because we got to use the real steel machines with their real life names.

"CTI" is just what kids today call warfare. I don't mind as long as they stay off mah lawn! :D

Ofcourse it should be free. It was free in the BECTI I used to play in Arma2 and that was 100% fine with everyone.

Are you sure? I played on an .ru bennys warfare server today and they just had regular covered trucks pretending to be service trucks. The real ones have weird boxes or tanks on their flatbed.

You misread my post. I am talking about the repair and rearm vehicles that were added along with the artillery and tanks this week. How they have the scroll wheel - repair/rearm function (that is free). They need adding to BECTI asap.
