When doing the boot camp mission for Attack Helicopter, I am unable to proceed after having blown up the three tanks with Hellfire missiles. The tutorial tells me to switch to Hydra rockets, which I do, but then nothing happens. The tutorial just continues to say I have to switch to Hydra rockets. I've tried all kinds of things, switching weapons, swapping to gunner, flying around and so forth.. Anyone have an idea how to proceed?

Sorry about the late reply, been in a Japan for two weeks. Been a good while since I played Arma 2, but back when I did, I had a separate game called Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead Beta. I still have it in steam, only now it has an added text to it, saying (Obsolete). Have you tried going into steam properties for OA and opting out of the beta, and then verified the game cache? Maybe Playw6 has messed up your installation? Try re-installing the game? Anyhoo, the AH mission ends Right after you've blown up the tanks, iirc, so you're not exactly missing much

Arma 3 Helicopters DLC Discussion (dev branch)
Snottus replied to FredAirland's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I would just like to add, that after having flown a real R22 Beta II, I am amazed at how well Dreamfoil has adapted the R22 into X-plane 10. I would recommend it to anyone interested in trying the R22 (the flight model is just incredibly well done). Prior to my flight in the R22, I've had many many hours of flying the Huey, BS and Hippo in DCS. Now, as I haven't tried any of these choppers for real, I can't claim how realistic they are, but one thing's for sure, they teach you how to read and operate instruments and several dangerous flying conditions, such as VRS and engine shut-down for example. This comes in very handy when flying a real chopper. I also have quite a few hours in TKOH, which is fun, but the choppers feel weightless and the flight model is somewhat off. Just my opinion mind you. Great fun tho. The Arma series' flight models are arcadey imo. They're a Lot of fun to fly, but quite unrealistic. I've been waiting for a more advanced fm for the series since A2 was released, so here's to hoping this DLC will breathe new life into A3! EDIT: Oh, and fred64, hurry up and finish already! ^^ -

In the server-browser, look in the up-right corner. Click once on Steam, to change it to Gamespy, worked for my group -
[SP]Dynamic Universal War System (DUWS alpha0.1)
Snottus replied to kibot's topic in ARMA 3 - USER MISSIONS
Ah no man, I was just trying to help that other dude - I download your newest updates as they are released, so I have no issues anymore, your mission works great! One thing I would like to see tho, was the option to manually place enemy bases. Sorry if you've already addressed this. -
[SP]Dynamic Universal War System (DUWS alpha0.1)
Snottus replied to kibot's topic in ARMA 3 - USER MISSIONS
I had the same issue, along with an issue of revive not working properly. I blame that on the multitude of mods I use, and not BigShot's fine work. When I disabled Revive, I had no issue with MCC disappearing from the menu. -
The new update is a significant improvement for the AI heli gunner, thanks a LOT man!

Yeah I've encountered the same several times - major hit on performance, both for server and player. TPW adds to this, by spawning the A10 from time to time (one of the many reasons why I don't use TPW)

Hey man, Thanks a lot for the great effort so far! Makes flying in Arma a whole lot more fun. Couple a issues, some may have already been mentioned. Head position is a little far back, imho, feels like the pilot is leaning backwards a little too much. With TrackIR, the ability to move ones head sideways makes it a little hard to place the aiming reticule correctly in relation to where you're actually aiming your gun. Could disable sideways movement I guess, but maybe it would also be possible for the reticule to move in relation to the head movement? Like the in-game crosshair does. The gun, while awesome, puts quite a lot of strain on the computers of the players, causing quite a bit of lag - maybe reduce the amount of visual explosions or some such? Anyway, great mod!

Just wanted to say thanks, Alduric, for the incredible work. My friends and I wouldn't still be playing A3 if not for you.

This looks fantastic man!

So I was wondering about gunner AI in attack choppers - iirc it you stated you'd increase their awareness or some such, since they happened to be very poor at noticing foot mobiles. Have you made any changes in this regard? I find my AI gunner is still very poor at spotting new targets. I have to fly really close in order for the gunner to spot any foot mobiles, which usually means either getting shot at, or better yet, shot down. Any fixes for this?

ArmA 2 US Helicopters Import to A3
Snottus replied to Αplion's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
So a couple little issues. Shadows are partly missing on the Apache if you view your own shadow from inside the cockpit - from outside it looks fine. If I have an AI gunner and target anything other than an enemy (say a friendly vehicle or unit), he won't lock. He'll target just fine, but I'm unable to get a lock. I experience no such issues with the vanilla choppers. Anyway, thanks for all the great work so far -

Would it be possible to implement manual placement of the enemy zones? -
Virtual Ammobox System (VAS)
Snottus replied to tonic-_-'s topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
And I just said I know you can rotate your head, but that still doesn't give a very good view of the front. Something similar to the Dyslexi thing would be nice. -

Snottus replied to tonic-_-'s topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
....... Yes, but then you view your chr from behind, altho you can rotate your head - still, I'd like to be able to properly see the characters from the front, or better yet, using the mouse to pan around. -

@.kju Maybe it would be possible to add, say the Mi-48 Kajman flight-model to the Apache? Or maybe the Blackfoot one -

Oh there's quite a bit of difference for choppers at least, in regards to flight model. Both lift, rudders and overall feel of the choppers is quite different -

Snottus replied to tonic-_-'s topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
This has probably been asked before, but have you considered adding an option to view your character model in 3rd person, so you can see what your gear looks like? Otherwise, great scripts man, we use it all the time! -

Snottus replied to .kju's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Great work with AiA and AiA SA! So a quick question regarding flight models and physX - do you use the A1/A2 flight models and vehicle physics, or do you plan on upgrading the vehicles to A3?
