If BI did nothing about this, and you re-textured the entire of Altis i'd be willing to donate for that. After playing a while you get used to those textures and don't care to much, but seeing the comparison its just sad how BI has neglected it. -
I don't like the idea of having to pay for mods. Especially if it means i would have to pay for a mod i don't necessarily want because servers are running it and without it i wouldn't be able to join. But basically if BI start allowing that then they need to step up their shit and provide a A LOT more content. Currently im not fussed with the amount of content in arma because i know there will be great mods made by the community to make the game better, if i had to start paying for that then i would expect much more from BI since the community makes up for arma's shortcomings.

I have to say this full release is the most buggy version of Arma3 yet. Through the Alpha and Beta (dev branch) i hardly encountered any bugs, but after just playing through some of the showcases for an hour or so i've encountered a tonne of bugs. Using the range finder, then going prone and switching to a weapon causes my character so just get stuck and spaz out. When using artillery tanks, and mortars, going to third person view after firing a round causes the view to get stuck pointing straight up. Textures on buildings go black and pop in and out. The tigris cannon causes the sound to screw up and freezes the game. That's just a few....

With the new thermal scopes when changing fire mode with my weapon it seems to enable/disable the thermal view, is this how they're supposed to be? some weapons the scope will be thermal only when in single fire mode and some only in full automatic...seems weird.

I was wondering if there will be any kind of amphibious vehicle transport in Arma3, like a ship you can drive multiple vehicles on to to transport them? After playing some MP missions on Altis I think this would be a useful addition given the layout of the island. If you're based over at say Moudros and need to get over the bay/Gulf currently it takes a long time to drive vehicles around to say Vikos, so a small transport ship would be quite useful to get across the bay i think.

I assume you saw my post about it in the dev blog thread. I'm sure they have many more important things to work on, but they really need to get this fixed, it seriously cant be that hard if every other fps game can deal with it. -
I haven't had a chance to check lately, but have they finally fixed the ladder climbing animation? Currently you just keep climbing in the air when you get to the top, which looks retarded/breaks immersion and is pretty pathetic. I know its a minor thing but it's always bugged me.

I'm not sure anyone's making the argument of having it as an exclusive just for the sake of it. The fact is every single pc game that's made the shift to consoles has been pretty well ruined or ended up significantly worse than it was before it went to consoles. I cant think of one of the top of my head that hasn't changed for the worse. That's my main concern. Devs always shift their focus to consoles and assure people the PC version is being made different to cater for PC's, but it never turns out that way. Most prominent recent example would be Crysis, so much wasted potential there. Crysis 2 and 3 turned into lame generic close quarters spam fests.

ARMA is the last great PC exclusive title, i truly hope it never gets ported to consoles, there is just no way it would survive the dumbing down process. Anyone used to playing CoD would have their head explode playing this.

I'm really impressed by BI, i never expected to be compensated for that down time. Makes me even more glad to be supporting them, there are so few decent game companies these days. I would like to know if the coupon has an expiry date or not, and if so when? if it does have an expiry date then i'll just purchase another copy of Arma 3. -

I'm getting atleast 50% better performance playing arma 2 maps in arma3 with this mod its amazing its so much smoother and better looking. -

What exactly is supposed to work with this? I've got it setup right i think, game launches and i can see all the arma 2 stuff, its really awesome, but i cant use any weapons at all, it wont let me take any weapons from boxes, and i cant walk, i can only run. Is this how its supposed to be or is something wrong with my setup? Hi, I need some help with this mission. I have the steam version of arma2 and OA plus all DLC installed, and im using ACE. Whenever i start the mission it gives me an error: no entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgWeapons.ACE_M16A4_EOT'. Then no matter what class i am it takes my weapon away and gives me some m16, then i cannot shoot. even if i change guns, or kill myself etc i can never shoot. Some very rare times it will magically fix itself. Does anyone know what i might have done wrong or how to fix this? I'm using the latest ACE version and i don't have problems with any other missions other than Patrol Ops. Which happens to be my favourite.
