i5 k655@3.2 ghz 460gtx 768mb 8gb basically can only run wasteland at 20fps MAX (usually less) on standard, shadows off, vsync off, aa off. getting really frustrating. any suggestions?

I've mostly been playing Wasteland, but this may pertain to many game modes. When I mission is created, I can go to my map and find the location. But isn't there a way to see the way point on your hud, and how far away it is. I'm sure I've watched streams on twitch where users could see the way point on there screen without always having to go to there map to ensure they're going the right direction.
