Hence the worrying talk:P I personally choose not to fly with the current helis unless pretty much forced to. I don't find it enjoyable but rather a task in frustration:) Still enjoy the game from the ground though but I would not be pleased;) OT for the thread though so I'll be moving along:D -

Planetside, your confusing fred64's HTR and TKOH FM. The latest official word about TKOH is that it will be in and at this point I pretty much consider that a promise. There was some waffling on some specifics that they had stated earlier though which was worrying. -
You sure you were playing the demo for take on helicopters? The Flight model is very very different. I really have only played on expert so I can't say how much they simplify the dynamics in easier diffs but if you flew on expert or Vet and it felt the same to you as A2/A3.... wow. The controls are mapped the same way though, that is true. I'd suggest trying the demo out a little more and playing with the difficulty settings. and seeing if you still feel the FM's are the same:) OT for this thread though so I'm out:)

Auto Rotation Ya, but I'm gonna have to disagree with you about VRS unless you can provide some documentation. I've never noticed it in game nor seen it documented as a feature and I just tried to enter it and was not able to. Love to be proven wrong though:)

Conure, why not trying the demo? One is available and I assume it's been updated by now to the tweaks they have done to the FM's. Settling with power I do not believe is modeled but it's light years above the a2/a3 fm. It's hard to compare dcs and ToH due to one being a heavily ap assisted coaxial heli, but no, it's no dcs fidelity. It's good though:)

I actually feel it would be good marketing to open up MP in the Lite 1 or 2 weeks before they expire. Hook'em and then take it away :icon_twisted:

As far as I can tell it works as intended.... albeit in a silly manner for a silly fm:) Basically if you map both axis+ and axis- to raise/lower respectively, then the 'zero' (middle) position will maintain altitude, while above that will increase altitude at a analog rate proportional to how far above the middle the axis is. Works the opposite way for below the middle. Just a product of the goofy fm i believe. Not sure if they fudged it in A2 to make it seem less odd as I haven't flown in a2 for a long long time. Hopefully we'll get TKOH FM so it will be a little more sane;) -

As the title says, is heliname setHit ["mala vrtule", 1]; currently broken or have they gone and changed the name of the small rotor or something? Also, if it's currently not working anyone know a work around to knock out the tail rotor on a heli? Thanks -strider -

Off unless/until they separate the effects. I don't like blur and not really a fan of DoF either. -
Ya, the KA-60 needs either: A) Static boresight cross B) Boresight cross projected on hud when view ovelaps boresight\ C) CCIP piper (ya right;) ) There are a few items on this in the tracker. Not sure if they are tagged though. Might still have one open... checking.... nope but here is one from search http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=238 several others, but that one seems to have the most votes.

Your correct, it's a few months old. All correct. Additionally if your connection drops while running the game, there will be no effect. Steam will continue working normally. I've heard the issues with steam needing to be switched into offline mode while online have been fixed... but haven't personally tested. By this I mean there was a VERY long running issue with steam where if you didn't have steam open, you lost connection and the last time you had had steam running it was in online mode, it would refuse to boot into offline mode. I'll need to test it at some point as that was a real issue and if it's truely gone is great.

Agreed. DOF and motion blur really should be able to be toggled independently. edit: Or at least with ini editing. -
I'm personally anxiously awaiting the ToH FM and praying that it's the default as was stated it would be in the forums back in June I think and they haven't flip flopped on that. At the moment, flying is more a chore although at least there is a working analogue collective, even if it operates like raising a invisible floor. After flying ToH's FM, A2's really isn't acceptable to me and if the only choice, I simply would choose not to fly unless absolutely forced too. Would be a shame as I'm a flight sim guy and I love love love flying the helis in ToH, which while still a arcade game has enough siminess and feels like one would expect a helicopter to fly to be interesting in it's own right. Not taking to much from the alpha but the apparent contemplation on the flip-flop on the default models having the ToH Model has me really worried as heli's are one of my favorite parts of this world. Will wait and see how it develops. Also, hi everyone;)
