Recoil doesnt seem too bad to me. This is coming from someone who has fired the M16A2, SAW, 240B, and the Mk-19. When firing the M16 (which is probably more closely related to the weapons in this game) even with proper trigger control/breath control there is a solid amount of recoil. Typically you slowly pull the trigger at the top or bottom of your breath, fire, slightly release the trigger until you hear the click, fire again at top or bottom of breath. Firing just 2 rounds as quickly as possible (or three round burst) creates a decent amount of recoil, no matter how well you position the butt of the rifle in your shoulder. The SAW, no matter how tight you held it would shoot as someone mentioned above, in a circular left right up down sort of 'spray'. If anything I think the recoil is easier to manage in this game.

I was recently informed the current MAP is only 15% of the actual release map. If this is true, then jets and tanks are probably ok. Heck it takes 10 minutes now driving from Far North to far south of the map. Maybe we will NEED jets afterall -

Good idea! Chat, mission pop-ups and inventory pickups take up a large portion of the screen. -
What's up guys. Just thought Id throw this on here to get some ARMA 3 fans to drop by my page and leave some love. I am always looking for people to team up with on the independent side to take on objectives and screw up plans for Blufor/Opfor. Since we are on the topic I have always wondered: The gripes and complaints about talking over Global chat, is it because it really DOES lag the game or is it mostly so people arent annoyed with hearing you? -
Havent learned that one yet... Always been taught to take deep breath then hold for 3-5 seconds. But then again Ive never been a sniper either lol.....oooh rah

1) I support the fact you took time and effort into making this 2) However, the video I watched seemed to be a pain in the ass. Being in the military myself I know for a fact I can jump off a 2foot high rock without falling. 3) The AI seemed to trip over...the ground? I do like the idea of a heavy caliber weapon or explosive knocking you over in that manner. I dont think I am necessarily a fan of falling left or right every time I hit a tiny ledge. Understandibly, the values can probably be changed. -
Problems I have seen: Reload can be heard nearly 200-300M+ away. Mine placement can be heard 500M+ away. Kudos: I love the gun shot sounds in the distance. With a solid set of headphones you can almost tell where, how far, and what weapion they are firing. Choppers can be heard from aways away and seems to be true to IRL.

I know. And dont crucify me for this example but for example in BF3 you feel....almost useless when all you see is jets and tanks everywhere. The cities arent big enough to force some tank driver to say, "Man this road is blocked and since this city if so big it would take me 15 minutes to find another route, Ill get out and enjoy some CQB. Not to mention with destructible environments, good bye to that second story building you are hiding in. -

I know I know. I just feel as an infantry person, you feel less significant. Basically it adds a requirement for every class to have a 'tank-buster' weapon. -

I kind of hope Jets are NOT added. Same goes for Tanks. When you begin adding vehicles like this you start to feel in-significant as an individual. Then it become a game about jets and tank battles versus infantry men out playing the enemies. You then require every one to carry some sort of AA or RPG to take out vehicles. I am sure some MODs will cater to my feelings of tanks etc. I just hope it doesnt get out of hand. -

I would be interested in being able to pick up bodies and carry them somewhere. If I shoot someone in the middle of a street in Agia (for example) I do not then want to stand in the middle of the street looting their body. If I could move their body to a house...then loot away I would feel safer. I know some mods allow you to carry bodies...however I do not know if the loot follows them -
1) False. Every shooter has sway. Whether it is on the ground, a pistol, kneeling or not. The second a human being touches the rifle, some movement is involved...usually caused by breathing. With trigger control & breath control you can eliminate some movement for a period of 'X' seconds. 2) The only kneel/crouched position that can be as close to steady as prone is the modified sitting position. Even then, prone is the most stable. 3)The OP is mentioning two things: A) Shooters should not be able to carry a LARGE sniper rifle, pop down into the kneeling and fire an accurate shot in 5 seconds. B) Balancing sniper rifles so that not EVERYONE is inclined to use them. It seems that on every wasteland server everyone has the same mission. Find a Sniper or rifle, attach a scope (preferibly SOS) and snipe away. I feel like you see less and less of the 'grunt' troops in the game.

Agreed. The major performance issues are the FPS lag when the server decides to re-load vehicles/objects on the map. The game is still fine IMO (minus the constant rubberbanding of enemies, vehicles, etc). Pretty playable for a BETA -

I too would love to see this in the game however, I feel on the list of priorities it is rather low. So many other issues need to be tended too before 'Bi-Pods'. -

I havent really done any of the missions except the Showcase missions. I play Wasteland nearly 100% of the time. Things I love/hate: Hate: Hackers (all over the place). When the server admin logs off, less then 5 minutes later we either get teleported and mowed down, or everyone on the server blows up. Its lame. Love: The graphics/ atmosphere. I get lost in this island easily. Its awesome Hate: I know its only a alpha bug but you have to reach your hand through your buttcrack just to scratch your nose. Weapon pickups, moving barricades, etc seem to all have a consequence on your weapon. Love: Mission Objectives. They add a GREAT element to the game Hate: The sun spot that show up on every player/vehicle. You can spot someone without actually spotting them....just look for the magical orb that points them out. there are alot more love hates, but no sense in posting them. Nice report btw
