  1. That is sad but today i met first annoying hacker in arma 3 hes name was User [2], is it possible to find out hes GUID when your not server admin? Why would anybody risk with their game serial key like that, if hes banned he basically will lost 25 euros, right?

At 14 march when all people who have bought arma 3 alpha will receive 3 beta keys, i was wondering if these beta keys are working with multiplayer too? If they do that would bring in even more hackers because no one cares if they loose beta key i assume... My be its not good idea to send out free beta keys? But if it doesn't work with multiplayer then its all right.

  2. This is so weird, it seems to me like time to time A3 starts lagging more and more, it's like the more you play the more performance drops. First day when i got A3, everything was so smooth, i played in 40-50 player wasteland servers with no problems, everything was just so smooth fps at least 50 or so i even recorded some videos and while recording still everything was so smooth fps stayed at ~50. After while suddenly performance dropped, getting around 30-40 fps, and next day it dropped to 20-30, very poor... It's like it's collecting up some shit that drops performance, all my temps are fine too so that's not the issue.

    Specs:

    I5 3570k @ 4,2Ghz

    HD6950 2gb

    4gb Ram

  3. It crashes on Arma 2 with out of memory if you set "Default Memory"

It crashes on Arma 3 with "Arma 3 has stopped working" if i dont limit it below 1000

It just crashed for me too if i had it set over 1000, my be arma 3 can't use whole video memory yet, or this -maxvram is bulls* and shouldn't be there at all. I'd hold it as default and wouldn't touch it at all.

    Edit:

great.. Restored old config and still can't get game working, crashes every time on mission load....

  4. -nosplash -cpucount=4 -exthreads=7 -world=empty -dx9 -maxmem=4096 -maxVRAM=999

    2600k

    gtx 570 OC 1280mb vram,

16gb where 7 gb is used up by arma 3 (ramdisk)

    still really laggy.

Max vram 999? And below your saying you have 1280mb vram, thats 1gb video card. Your limiting your video card power to 999 mb lol, why would you want to set it smaller, of course performance will be then much slower.

  5. I recently copied over my Arma 2 launch settings over to A3, and it seemed to increase performance greatly. I can now play at 60 fps on over 50 man servers and actually enjoy the alpha. Here's what I put:

    "-maxmem=8192" "-maxvram=4042" "-cpucount=4" "-exthreads=7" -nosplash -skipintro

Obviously, you're going to have to change some of the numerical values.

If you have a quadcore CPU or higher, leave exthreads at 7.

This fixed the lag (Somewhat) for me, so I'd like to share it with the community if no one has done so already.

You have 4gb video ram ?
