That was just an example, I'm sure that they are just sending tools, if anything.

So it's possible for Croatia to get equipment from the Black Market, but not for Ukraine separatists? ---------- Post added at 20:53 ---------- Previous post was at 20:52 ---------- There's a big difference between sending a tank or sending a tank wheel. And even if they send a whole tank, why is it ok for Ukraine to receive aid, but not for the Separatists? I thought people had a right self determination.

You obviously don't remember it's beginning. The separatists raided depots in preparation for the upcoming UA assault announced by Kiev. And do you remember what Croatia did after declaring independence (Croatia was at war for 5 years so where did it get it's ammo from?)? It attacked JNA bases and captured equipment (same here). Just remember the first territories under separatist control, before the attack came. It was a big chunk of land. A huge amount of storage was under separatist control, and with Slavyansk being overrun, they moved it south. It's irrational to use up all your ammo in the first moments of the war, and what info do you have that proves they ran out of their own ammo?

Actually eastern Ukraine is the industrial heart of the country...

Nope, take a look at the pictures. StG-4? Really? CQ-A has a different nob on the right side where the fire select is on the left(You can notice that they are standard ones in the video). Bushmaster M4A3 has much thinner hand holder. And it's definitely not Vepr or Luvo. Kalashnikov is open to foreign markets too,so why shouldn't it give some to DPR and LPR? And just because US attacked Korea and Afghanistan, is this reason to believe that they are incapable of covert actions? There are many examples that show otherwise.

Not to burst anyones bubble, but that's not Z-15 in the images above. It's a Colt M4A1.

Direct attack on Donetsk it self wouldn't be such a good idea, if your aim wasn't a bloodbath and collateral damage. Plus there's so many ways to go about doing that besides desperately fighting for an objective that has long outlived it's purpose. If UA starts shelling Donetsk in order to capture it, it could make the residents decide to turn on Ukraine. However if UA goes in without preparing the ground they would be in for a nasty surprise, so not a good idea from whatever angle you look at it.

Why is the airport so important objective at this point in the war, that units would risk annihilation to secure it? The buildings are destroyed beyond recognition, and the runway burrowed, it seems unlikely for both sides to use it, so why bother?

He's saying that people would die for that flag, and that they are peaceful people and that they don't want war. From the title it looks like it's the flag from the cyborgs.

Off course Serbs and Croats had to fight each other in the interests of the empires they were under, but there was no hatred, just business (Serbs fought on both sides). After WW1 the ideal option for Serbia was just to add territories inhabited by Serbs and thus expand. No one forced either Croatia or Slovenia to enter Yugoslavia, and there certainly was no hatred from the Serbian side since in WW1 Serbs in Austro-Hungary were also forced to fight Serbia. Without going anymore offtopic, I'm going to say that that hatred is relatively new (hatred of Albanians in Serbia has only started after 1998). So it isn't really any older than the hatred between Ukraine and Russia, if anything it's newer, because communist Yugoslavia was much more liberal than the rest of the communist world.

It will be a classic dept slavery, and will probably be followed by total system corruption, much like it was in my country after the pro EU revolution. The formula is take credit, leave the dept to your kids, and sell of anything that would be an asset to the country like state owned firms. ---------- Post added at 11:12 ---------- Previous post was at 10:59 ---------- The hatred between Serbs and Croats/Albanians is a relatively recent thing. You don't have historical hatred between Serbs and Croats up until WW2 (it started in the '30s), were fascist Croatia was very aggressive towards Serbs, and even then the hatred got overcome after the war. The real today hatred was born after the most recent wars in what many Serbs viewed as a betrayal. It's the same with Ukraine and Russia. You have new nationalist movements on both sides. Ukrainians view them selves as being bullied by Russia, and Russians feel betrayed by Ukrainians (just like here, although Ukrainians were on a lower level then Russians in the Stalins Soviet Union, where as Croats here didn't objectively have it worse than Serbs), so I wouldn't be surprised if the violence got worse than in Yugoslavia.

This was my whole point ever since I replied to your comment in which you wrote that the Russian soldiers did it. And it's a very important point, that you shouldn't take lightly.

I just did. It's wrong to pull conclusions with insufficient info.

I reserve my self from thinking until I have enough information.

Do you know for sure that the MH17 was the only air target above the rebel held territory at that time? Was there only one BUK in the area? It still just a suspicion, and if people were to act on suspicion alone we would have had 10 world wars by now.
  20. aleksadragutin

    Ukraine General

That really doesn't answer my questions (you can read them again if you like). The MH17 plane wasn't the only aircraft that was downed in Ukraine so it's a guess as to why there would be one missile less. Your point was that clearly the Russian soldiers did it, and that's something you cant claim for sure.
  21. aleksadragutin

    Ukraine General

That seams to be the truth written in stone. The conclusion was reached based on guesses and speculation. There's no solid confirmation of anything in there that would be sufficient to reach that conclusion. How do you know the separatists couldn't have operated the BUK? How do you know that the eyewitnesses aren't mistaking? How do you know they are the eyewitnesses in the first place? How do you know it's the same BUK? And the best thing you can do when you don't have enough info is talk down anyone who opposes your theory.
  22. aleksadragutin

    Ukraine General

Interesting, and how did you conclude that it was Russian soldiers inside the BUK?

The color on the M89 is a bit different than on the M93. I personaly like the Mdu02, but it was never adopted, and the new M10 is to replace the M93, so that's why there is maybe more focus on the M10 than on the other ones.

We were planing on doing that, but those helmets are just reserves for training grounds and such, in fact much of the volunteers are wearing the new M-97.
