30€ for a game which is barely a demo and with basic functions is a bit too much. How come they didnt lower the price since there are barely 620 players peak on steam? And since it is obvious now that its just an early showcase, nothing like a full game with all the features. Its a shame and it can only harm future sales of ARMA4.

Ive got Replication Connection Failure error and got disconnected
Tvrdi posted a topic in Arma Reforger - Troubleshooting
Happens randomly every then adnd now. Steam version on PC. Log attached. I deleted all the mods and did steam repair (verify files). What its interesting it happens on most popular (non moded) server (conflict). On DayZ modded servers it doesnt disconnect. -

This is what comes up on game start, now. -
Thanks BTW, there is an issue with running, players can run like they are olympic gold medalists and the fatigue is almost not there. Feels like its not milsim but some fps arcade. Also desync is sometimes horrible.

Many are reporting game forcing windowed mode. Saw in some forum and youtube comments. If I set full screen it still forces windowed mode.
-
Fair points but still, a year after release the game is forcing windowed mode and crashes often. Even on stronger rigs as I heard. 30€ is the price in EU. Salaries in eastern/central europe are pathetic so 30€ is like 200$ for you. I will gladly take your generous offer to gift me a steam key of Arma reforger so I can try it and report bugs to devs (thats all I can do to repay). I will send you a PM on this forum.

I agree. ARMA 2 was the peak. Im 47 and I remember first Operation flashpoint very well. It was a groundbreaking combat sim. A big step forward in that genre. this is just an embarrassment in every way. Yeah, some features are advanced but thats it. Theres nothing to be hyped ybout.

Hi, I know the game is still demo or whatever. But will devs fix the running speed (way too fast for average soldier) and add fatique/stamina?
-
This never should get steam approval for launch (its not even a demo, demo is usually fully working just with less content). And for that price...its a joke.

Thanks :)

Guys, please, I have two questions: 1) Is there ARMA 3 Iron front server so I can play in MP? 2) Do I need both Iron front Liberation and D-Day or just Liberation? thanks in advance for your responses

Do you read other posts here mate? But why wou think they must keep it? Why not just forced walk option? Simple, your character will slow down, like he is walking, until hes fit again for running...like in RL, no? BTW, blur effect itself has nothing to do with RL really.... Maybe Im blurry when Im drunk
-
I hear your joke. But on a serious note...why we wouldnt run in a game since we can do it in RL?....hell, back then in the army I was young, strong and in very good health and could run with full gear for a considerable amount of time. Ofcourse, after some time I would get tired but not after 1 or 2 mins, and never experienced blackouts, much less blurriness....hehe Like I said...just make a character move slower (forced walk option or whataver) after some time of running....btw, you dont need to go prone to get faster recover LOL (like in the game)...

24" Dell e-IPS screen, gaming on 1920x1200....BLur is very noticable, annoying and distracting....(btw, I was a sniper in the regular army and still have an perfect eyesight) You must realize that not everyone react the same....so, if that is disturbing for considerable amont of players - it should go. Period. We saw here good advices how you can deal with this feature (both visually and with forced walk option) without using an effect which will force many players to STOP PLAYING.
-
I still cant find a reason for "disturbing" visual effect like blurness for fatique. Why we cant just have forced walk option...when you run for longer period of time you get slow, very slow.....everybody happy. You have "realism" and no visual effect which can cause headache for some. For me its not the headache but I could play more than 30 mins due to light nausea. Really, why some of you insist on something that can cause this for considerable amount of players?
-
I had a light dizziness after 30 mins of play in MP with this blur fatique effect. And I dont have epilepsy disorder or anything like that. Really, most games have blur effect only as an option. I thought it is by law. It should be. It isnt a joke guys. I dont want to say I will have any serious consequences but I cant play longer than 30 mins and thats bad...In fact I will stop playing till they remove that effect. After all it isnt realistic. Back then, when I was in army, if I was running with full gear I would just slow down (couldnt go as fast)....why we cant have that in game?? Never experinced anything like blur effect in real life. The best solution would be that a player character just slows down after some period of time; after running...Or if they really need (for some reason) to put some visual effect then it shouldnt been blur.... Its a serious issue so I hope devs will react.....

Bohemia, I know ARMA3 is still alpha..but something must be done ASAP as last night almost all severs were infected with hacker scripts (or whataver it is)....So we got to the point where we cant play the whole evening...and thats a shame (and bad PR). Also, I hope you will implement a good protection, nothing like it was in ARMA2. ARMA3 is a great game..let us play our beloved game..... here since OFP days all the best to the team
-
I noticed most servers arent updated to latest alpha build..I hope all of you picked development bulid (under beta tab after u right click on the ARMA3 in steam)..as this will update the game to latest alpha...
-
I thought about the object and maybe AIs....smooth was on Blitzkrieg even with 40-50 ppl which is a considerable number...
-
Are we going to get/is there anywhere to get Patch Notes?
Tvrdi replied to mordeaniischaos's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
I have developer (beta) build set to ON in steam properties for ARMA3....Is that how Ill get my alpha updated? -
Its interesting that I have pretty smooth performance in Blitzkrieg servers and mostly poor in Wasteland servers....anybody have a clue why?
-
Surprisingly, last night I was on server with 30 ppl (Blitzkrieg, Hunting in teh woods) and perfromance was surprisingly good...not perfect but much better then a evening before on some other servers...but something definitely must be done (till full game release) so the performance in MP is smooth for most of us with decent rigs. Maybe I was in dedicated server so the performance was decent, dunno.
-
I always wondered why we dont have knifes in ARMA series....I had one from the boyscouts days....really strange....
-
You realize ARMA3 has 50X bigger maps and more realistic physics, calculations, effects, etc... its a simulator and BF3 just a shooter with 2-3 blocks...

Share your first Arma3 Beta Impressions (all first impression type posts here pls)
Tvrdi replied to fabrizio_t's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
Ok last night I played MP also (upon release I only had time for SP and playing with editor)..Immersion is huge, animations and graphics are great (still some texture flickering is there)...well, performance in MP is not great at all...SP is much smoother and better. Something must be done since now, in most times, game runs pretty slow (on fps). It is on border of playability at times. Didnt measure FPS but it must me pretty low. On some servers is better at times but generally it isnt good. Hopefully this will be fixed until full game is release.d We had simmilar problems with ARMA2 upon release. Otherwise the game is superb. I just hope MP will be popular...now, westeland servers are the most populated which brings another thought...do we need more modern warfare with ARMA engines? Or DayZ, Vietnam, Westeland scenarios etc....Im fine with this but I can see the laters would be more popular...way more..
