game cannot start (error message at startup)

I already did those things mamasan8 to no avail, but thanks for the info on the CreateFX, now I finally know what's this all about, I'll try googling more about it EDIT: I tried unpacking the Jun2010_XAudio_x64.cab from the directx11 installer and I saw these files infinst.exe XAPOFX1_5.dll JUN2010_XAudio_x64.inf XAPOFX1_5 XAudio2_7.dll and some other related things. some of these files are mentioned in that CreateFX link you posted. Although I don't know what to do with them.

game cannot start (error message at startup)

Thanks for the response I already downloaded from that link and still the same problem I also tried to run everything @ stock speeds and nothing changed I tried your suggestion on the launch command on the DLL files(all of them), sadly it didn't work either, I even tried deleting the whole Dll folder just to test it and it displayed the same error message. I also tried doing a number of different startup parameter combinations, still didn't fix it :( btw this is the pic of the actual error, http://i.imgur.com/vbJLxDd.jpg (202 kB)

game cannot start (error message at startup)

Thanks but unfortunately I still have this problem, After doing tons of troubleshooting and stuff I am certain that it is the arma3.exe itself that's causing the problem, I tried deleting it and redownloading from steam but still same results, I also tried countless launch commands and compatibility and admins settings, still the same.

game cannot start (error message at startup)

yeah, steam regularly updates the game so it's always the latest version
  10. game cannot start (error message at startup) it says "the procedure entry point CreateFX could not be located in the dynamic link library arma 3.exe" screenshot here http://i.imgur.com/vbJLxDd.jpg (202 kB) googling the error didn't help me Things I tried: -reinstall the game -verify cache -reinstalling directx11(dxsetup from the arma 3 folder itself, and from MS website) -all the redistributables are already installed as well -compatibility mode -nobenchmark and a bunch of launch commands -deleting arma 3.exe and redownloading it -update video drivers can anyone help me?? btw it was working like 6 months ago, when I tried playing it again recently(I didn't play for a long time) this is the problem, and it's the only game that's been doing this Hardware specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K @ 4.5 GHz (Overclocked) same result when @ stock MB: ASUSâ„¢ P8P67-M RAM: 2 x G.Skill Sniper 4 GB DDR3-1600 (Dual Channel) GPU: AMD Sapphire HD 7870 GHz Edition OC 2GB GDDR5 OS: 64-bit Windows 8.1 Enterprise latest version Arma 3 run through Steam, no mods installed posted a feedback to arma 3 devs, this is the link http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=21240
  11. Do you have plans to include Enemy Vehicles? and also the zones are very easy to take, my suggestion is can you have a parameter that adjusts how large the enemy forces will be?

    [SP/MP] Operation Artemis by RMK

Arma 3 now supports steam workshop, so you could update it to support it too and put the map there, and we can automatically get the new updates and all that. I have one problem encountered so far, I capture half of agia marina with my 5 man squad and an APC and 1 guy got killed and one injured, So I guess I had to extract out. on the helo extraction, when the heli was landing it came under light enemy fire from afar(rifle shots), when the helo finally landed every pilot disembarked and left the heli, but the heli wasn't even damaged and no pilot was injured, my squad entered the heli but nothing happened, after some time it said "Extraction Aborted" and the heli kicked us all out and magically disappeared

Dude this is awesome! i am mostly an SP player myself because I don't have a lot of friends to play with and I live far from most servers so I tend to get high ping. This is godsend, I hope you keep it primarily as an SP or few players game because there's alot of other MP missions anyway. This with "A whole lotta stratis", and "DUWS" could keep me occupied I hope you add side missions soon and the virtual ammo box! and If you can, add workshop support :)
  14. Non steam version? are you sure you are not using a pirated copy of the game?
  15. You should definitely include workshop support!
