  1. Is it possible to create a Battlefield esque form of gameplay where capturing and holding zones is the main objective (albeit in a more realistic way)? I tried creating an Invasion/Occupation type map, but the invaders only seemed to be half trying to follow objectives with most staying around their spawn area.
  2. Aside from the missions on the ALiVE website, does anyone know if a repository of good ALiVE SP missions has been created?
  3. Hmm, okay since I moved the OPFOR TAOR to an airbase it now looks like the OPFOR units are spawning but not BLUFOR, but I do get the following debug message: "Not enough groups to build a section, regrouping". I'm guessing this has to do with the no-spawn issue?
  4. I've been trying to create a town takeover mission where BLUFOR starts on a hill overlooking a town inhabited by OPFOR and is meant to capture it, but I can't seem to get it to work. When previewing the mission I always get the error saying "There are 0 objectives for this OPCOM instance!". I have 2 OPCOMs, one for BLUFOR and the other for OPFOR, each linked to their own units and the enemy units. BLUFOR is set to invasion mode and OPFOR is set to occupation mode, and BLUFOR/OPFOR units spawn in custom TAOR zones. It's driving me a little crazy! If anyone is willing to help me I can upload my mission template, but you'll have to tell me how to do that since I can't find an upload option in advanced posting mode.

Am I correct in thinking that if I create a marker (for example called M1), and then set the "TAOR Marker" field to M1 for a Military Placement module, it will place all units created by that module within the M1 marker when the mission starts? Currently when I do this, they spawn inside the marker, but a lot of the units also spawn outside the marker. Has anyone else experience something like this?

    I tried building an FOB using the repair truck but am having a little trouble. I selected the "ACTION: Request FOB Build Permission", build nothing seemed to happen after that. I am playing with AI at the moment, though, so the commander is AI controlled as well. Did nothing happen because the AI commander has to give permission but is unable to?

    Thanks guys, deactivating ALiVE solved the problem. Something else I've noticed is that when you die it takes a very long time to get back to the "front line" again, especially if you've got a squad following you. Is there some form of teleporting or front line spawning that's possible (I know you can respawn as one of your alive squad members, but this is not ideal)?

    Hmmm, since installing the CBA_A3 and ALiVE mods I've been unable to save my BeCTI sessions. Has anyone else had this problem or is there some setting I can change that will enable saving?
  9. I really love the atmosphere of close quarter combat in Arma 3 and was wondering if anyone has made a good CQC based map with AI functionality. I'd love it if it were possible to have a town broken into zones that need to be captured where AI squads are able to be part of that game. I've downloaded and tried a few sector control maps but unfortunately they do not support AI. Does anyone know if such a map exists?

    I'm having some trouble buying new equipment. If I choose "MENU: Equipment" and then select some items to buy, when I press the Buy button, money gets deducted from me but the items that I bought are not in my inventory when I press "I". Has anyone else had a problem similar to this? Would this fall under the "Known Issues" that Benny mentioned?

    AI and Warfare

    Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has made a version of the warfare map that replaces human players with AI (I guess you could say a more singleplayer orientated version of warfare). I ask this because where I live, the only form of Arma 2 that people play is the DayZ mod, which is fun but can get boring after a while, and the closest warfare servers are in Europe which give me a ping of 300ms to 400ms which is of course kind of difficult to play with.
