  1. Lingor is not a BIS released map which this mod would cover, it is a custom map released by a third party author (Icebreakr I think) so it would not be included here.

    Server just got hacked

    What battleye configured beyond it's defaults? Since Arma allows a LOT of scripting by default battleye will only police what it is specifically told to.

    DVD Version turning into Beta Version ??

    The issue isn't the distribution platform as you describe it, but the bandwidth between you and the sites, it not specific to steam or 777 but to anything you are downloading. There isn't much any platform can do to assist until the ISP/infrastructure issues catch up. That being said, you best bet is to grab the retail DVDs and install the bulk from there. Unfortunately, it looks like this is the way things are going as we move forward. But I question labeling it as a Steam issue when it's not steam that needs to fix it. Probably a issue with semantics.

    DVD Version turning into Beta Version ??

    I don't view this as a steam problem at all, its more of a ISP issue in your area, whether you download 2GB from Steam or some other provider, there isn't really a way around the issue.

    Arma 3 ACRE to a dedicated hosted server?

    Do you have access to the command line to modify it, or will you need to approach the service provider? @JayArma2Lib and @ACRE should be copied to be at peer level as "addons" and "mpmissions" then activated via the mod line "-mod=@CBA_A3;@JayArma2Lib;@ACRE" as an example This is completely from memory, so something things might be a bit off..

    Tips on flying a helicopter?

    From the sounds of it, you have very little flight experience as a pilot in any way shape or form. That being said, I would expect some behaviors to be completely counter intuitive. The biggest issue I have to this day with pc based flight sims is the lack of an intuitive method to know what the vehicle is doing. For example if you drive a car, you can feel when the car is moving forward, backwards, uphill, downhill. Without this type of input, it gets very tricky and you will need to spend time simply learning to utilize only the input you get. Which is via a little window into the world on your desk. Take very little steps. With an little rid, use the editor, place en empty chopper and yourself. And preview.. Manually set the weather to be calm. And work only on the collective.. That buttons that control if your going up or down at a fundamental level. Do flip on auto-hover to hold you steady and fiddle with the buttons to see he they behave and how they manipulate the aircraft. See how it behaves to a quick push or a button hold., then get a feel for setting down. Just take things piece by piece, see if the buttons make sense and move them around if you need to. If you have someone comfortable with helicopter you play with, ask for 1v1 on a server with a custom mission. Just take you time, it is not an easy thing to master.

    @st_map_autobrightness in ARMA 3

    I believe the Tao folding map used code from the Auto brightness mod, (Re: credits in the Tao map thread) but the Map auto-brightness does in fact function without any issues I have noticed.
