    Illegal Copies May Degrade

It wasn't him, it was midway through the game. I've verified my cache and it's working now anyway so far. I'll let you know if it happens again.

    Illegal Copies May Degrade

No mate I was in a game with my clan, it was our game. Admin might've just been doing it for laughs lol. I'll speak to him now.
  3. I bought my game from the steam store, and thus far it has been fine. However on a training excercise with a few members of the group I'm in a message quoted "-BRF- Trakko, illegal copies may degrade" shortly after I was disconnected ? Anyone else had this problem, I did a search but couldn't find anything. Just for proof.

I think your onto something there mate.

    OPFOR too Futuristic?

Richie mate it seems to me like your on here to cause trouble, I am aloud my own opinion if I think Luiz made a valid point then I can say so. It's not for you to decide I'm wrong, I'm not on here to argue with a childish forum troll so unless you start showing some competence and adding to the discussion then I don't know why your here. BIS/BI may be some amazing god like entity to you, but in actual fact they are just publishers/developers, we all here are fans of the series and regardless of whether you played from OFP or ArmA 3 is your first title your still here because you don't like those run of the mill FPS shooters. Publishers/developers are aloud to make mistakes or honest errors, we the consumer are allowed to help them by pointing out issues, that is what an alpha is for and it seems a lot of the BIS "Fanboys" are forgetting this, and pleas don't go shouting " OH IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT THROW IT ON HERE http://feedback.arma3.com/my_view_page.php" I would much rather see what the BI community had to say about it. ---------- Post added at 16:53 ---------- Previous post was at 16:49 ---------- Nobody accused them of being like EA, if your referring to luizsilveira earlier comment he mentioned no such thing, he pointed out that the modern market of younger gamers like this idea of being an action hero, cool guy. He didn't claim that BI were making us pay outrageous prices for our games, and hitting us with micro transactions at every possible moment, in fact they've done us a great deal with the £20 alpha and I look to do them the same favour by helping them improve their game.

    Well said buddy.

I understand where your coming from, but by the looks of it the Opfor are using fashion designers. Those neck braces are less than practical, they would hinder movement and cause irritation around the throat. The helmets are bulky, you'd be banging them left, right and center. Whereas the Blufor have kit that has quite obviously evolved from modern in use equipment and turned into a streamlined version of what exists, e.g. The MXC and MX seem to be futuristic versions of the ACR, the helmets in use both light role and standard are also in use/production today. The opfor are based on the iranians by the way. The Blufor campaign rotates around the British. Nobody want's "America to have the high tech gear", in fact I was thrilled when the AI had learned to react to effective enemy fire. However as an ArmA player I don't want my experience ruined when darth vader comes strolling over the hill with his posse of storm troopers. I understand that it's Alpha, I'm not asking for a dumbed down, low tech opfor. Just something that's conceivable, I want the challenge of professionally trained soldiers. Except "These are not the uniforms your looking for". http://25.media.tumblr.com/8626c175aa62aa3bc5e0332c85188cc1/tumblr_mj6gufvKVC1qet17vo1_500.gif ---------- Post added at 04:05 ---------- Previous post was at 04:01 ---------- The majority of the people who actually like the new oprfor units, just like them because they look "cool". I want a unit to look practical. And ffs bohemia get rid of the god damn gorilla arm walk/jog, it's atrocious. It's as though everyone's got a bad rash in their armpit. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Invisible%20Lat%20Syndrome

I don't believe what cross is trying to say is that he want's some futuristic Taliban running around in rags. He's saying in perspective to the Blufor; who look relatively conceivable; the opfor look like they've just wandered out of the death star, with ridiculous bubble helmets, and those neck braces that look like their made out of nano fibre, that goes for the gloves as well. Other than that, their vehicles and weapons look to be developed overtime and foreseeable in the near future.
  9. I would buy this map and walk into every building on Chernarus, just because I could...
  10. BRF Description The BRF is a reconnaissance unit within the British Army. BRF Operators act as the Brigade commander's eyes and ears typically operating ahead of the Brigade's front line, often deep behind enemy lines, where they perform advance force reconnaissance operations and mark out drop zones (DZ) and helicopter landing sites (HLS) for use by Brigade forces. BRF Operators may be inserted up to a week ahead of the main force, usually in 4-man teams. The men of the BRF Dismounted Patrols platoon are skilled in covert insertion, concealment and intelligence gathering. BRF patrols may be parachuted or helicoptered into position. They may also insert by vehicles, usually heavily armed UKF EWMIK Land Rovers, or more recently, UKF MWMIK Jackals. BRF Operators are highly skilled in insertion by parachute, including HALO and HAHO techniques. They use BT80 multi-mission parachutes and the High Altitude Parachutist Life Support System which provides oxygen when jumping at high altitude. The BRF is around 14-men strong. It is a tri-service unit, open to anyone over 16, although many of its members come from the 4th Dragoons. Although not technically a Special Forces unit, the levels of discipline and skills required of BRF Operators are close to, if not entirely comparable to, SF. We also operate an armoured warfare aspect to the game were our brigade recce force is deployed to Formation reconnaissance regiments, as the name would indicate, are intended to provide Armoured Reconnaissance for a higher-level formation, usually a division or a heavy brigade. In a large-scale defensive operation, they would delay attacking forces, whilst screening heavier units as they moved to engage the enemy. The regiments are, currently, almost entirely equipped with vehicles of the CVRT. http://i.imgur.com/3gi3r4th.jpg Selection Process We currently have a Selection process in place for our potential recruits Phase 1 - A simple night time navigation test, to observe the basic competence of a new recruit. (30 Minutes Nav Exercise). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Phase 2 - This will test your observatory skills, that are essential to be a BRF Operator. You will take part in a CTR (Close Target Recce), you will be scored on how well you use the terrain, and how accurate the intelligence relayed is. Being compromised is an automatic fail. (1hour CTR Exercise) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Phase 3- This will assess the tactical aptitude of a new recruit via an Escape and Evasion exercise based in a high risk scenario. You will be tasked with making your way to an extraction point, minimum supplies will be provided. Being captured is not necessarily a fail, as you will be graded on the entire phase. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://i.imgur.com/leGRd.jpg Specialist roles to be filled include: Infantry specialists - Machine gunners (HMG and Sustained Fire GPMG) - Anti-Tank Troop - Mortar man (81mm) - JTAC (Joint Tactical Air Controller) - Forward Observer - Mortar Fire Controller - Assault Pioneers (demolitions) - Parachutist - CVRT Crew (Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance Tracked) - Sniper / Sharpshooters - HUMINT - Military Intelligence (Human Intelligence) - Forward Observers Basic recruits for the BRF will be taught the following basic soldiering skills aimed to be employed on the battlefield: - ACE and ACRE familiarisation - Battlefield First Aid - Fire and Manoeuvre - Target Indications - Patrol Skills - Voice procedure and Bowman Operator’s course - Mounted and Dismounted Platoon Tactics Following a final exercise that is aimed to cement all the skills learned during the probation period, recruits will be awarded permanent placement in the group. 12. I doubt after this long they would bother using any new software, an update would be nice however. It's been the same for bloody years.
