  1. Normally JSRS runs client side and is pretty much usable near non-JSRS clients. The thing is, that I can't speak for other mods, and I dont know how much they would effect JSRS. JSRS is changing Volume, Distance, Pitch and Soundfile Paths in the weapon and vehicle configs, thats it. If you dont run another soundmod the same time, you shouldn't get in any kinda trouble here ;)

Right,so if we have our own mod that changes values like damage or recoil etc, this should not affect anything right? because you are only changing Volume, Distance, Pitch and Soundfile Paths.

  2. Sounds are amazing except for the vehicle horns, a small Sportsback sounding like a big ass boat :)

On the sidenote, this is a clientside mod same as st_hud?

Let's say I host a server and run the soundpack, do the other ones connecting to my hosted server need the pack to be able to fully connect and play?

Remember that there are metallic parts moving at highspeed inside a weapon so the metallic sound is right on spot. Do remember that being near someone who fires is not the same as firing, you hear the other sounds better when you have your ear near it.

No they don't, this mod is client side, as long as the server is not enforcing signatures, you can join to it and use the mod, if the server is using signature verification then you have to add the keys to the server.

  3. I am working on a high quality Arma 3 video but i am not contented with the performance. While recording with fraps the framerate often gets very low and the video starts lagging.

Is there a possibility to render in non-real-time? I am looking for a feature like the "capture_frames"-command in the cryengine where you can render each frame into an image file to be played back at whatever framerate you want. This gives you the possibility to shoot your videos with the highest graphic settings and still have a perfectly smooth video. I guess some of BISs' videos like the launch trailer and the community guide videos use this method so it should exist, shouldnt it?

    Try http://mirillis.com/en/products/action.html

I found it to be very nice on performance.

  4. It would take to much typing to explain it so I made a video. It is basically a new interaction system for ArmA3 that uses an action key and the mouse wheel for interacting with buildings and vehicles. The goal is to remove the action menu altogether. I made this in response to Dslyecxi's anti-action menu video

I will release a demo mission once I have it set up to use vehicles.

    Wow, this looks awesome man.

  5. So here is where I'm stuck, I'm just going to paste the message I sent to support[at]ibattle.org:

So I have gone through every forum I can find as well as the BiS wikis and I cannot find a solution to this problem. The error message I am receiving is "Error :: BE Bans.txt does not exsist" (yes exsist is a typo on the BEC end) and I have the paths set up EXACTLY as detailed in the BiS forums as well as on your website. Added parameter to the start of arma3server.exe is -bepath=C:\MyBattleEye and has created the directory. Within said directory I created a BEServer.cfg which it detected without problem and it created the BEServer.dll without a problem as well. However it then said BE Bans.txt does not exsist. So I created Bans.txt and tried again, however it still gives the same error. I tried the following: "Bans.txt", "bans.txt", "BE Bans.txt", and "BEBans.txt" to no avail. I have tried with the server running and with it offline and still nothing. The path given in my Config.cfg is C:\MyBattleEye, which contains no spaces which one user said could be a problem.

If you can see anything in here that makes sense as to why it wont work please let me know. At this point it has become a huge pain in the ass bc I have all the 'difficult' stuff finished and its this one file it will not find even though it exists. And the BiS forums DO NOT say anything about the Bans.txt file besides for mentioning it once in the working directory of BattlEye.

Did you try -bepath=C:\MyBattleEye\ notice the \

  6. I got tired of waiting. So i went ahead and made my own addon that is signed and includes the server key. I've tested it and it works with verifysignatures = 2 on my dedicated server. Just waiting to hear back from the original author for permission

to publish it since 90 percent of the code is his and he deserves most of the credit. works with the DEV beta version. I can make a stable beta version I just don't run that so I didn't see a need. I'm just tired of waiting for this addon's bi.key.

Please, do share when you are green :)
