  1. Welcome to the Tactical FPS "Recruitment Information" thread. We are a brand new community looking to bring strategic game-play to the battlefield, making the experience of our members a lot more exciting and immersive. A serious yet fun environment is what you will find within our ranks, as you go through intensive training, campaigns and the odd team versus team session. The ArmA series is not our only targeted game, we are looking into Battlefield, Call of Duty and many other FPS series. Most activity will occur within the British timezone, however we will try to tend to everybodies needs and branch out into the nights on weekends. Operational dates and times will be set and scheduled for weekly session which you must attend, if you are to miss any then you must inform us in advance through the LOA section of the personnel forums. You MUST be 16 years of age or older. You MUST have a working microphone. You MUST have BASIC knowledge of the game; ArmA Operation Arrowhead (1 - 3 days play-time). You SHOULD be mature, know when to have a laugh and when to be level headed. You MUST have a working, purchased copy of ArmA Combined Operations (II & OA). British Armed Forces expansion pack is not a requirement, but it will help your immersion. TacFPS is a new Realism unit which aims to provide training and tactical game-play experience to its members. We will do so by accommodating the following types of exercises; Training: OBUA (Operations in Built Up Areas) NAVEX Course (Navigational Exercises) JNCO Course (Junior Non-Commissioned Officer)(For Corporal rank, must be selected) AT Course (Anti-Tank) Flight Training (Basic Training, Intermediate Flight, Advanced Flight, On-board Weapon Training) Fire Support Training (Artillery, Marksmanship, Explosives) Special Air Service Training (HALO & HAHO Jump, Stealth, Special weapons & tactics, Hot Insertion & Hot Extraction, Arctic Warfare, Jungle Warfare, Urban Warfare, Clandestine, Breach and Entry) Operations: Air Operations (Logistics, Assault, Recon, Support) Ground Operations (War-time deployments, Peace-keeping, Patrols, Hearts & minds, Logistics) Special Operations (Behind enemy lines deployments, Assassination missions, Recon on sensitive targets & information, War-time deployments, Anti-terrorism) Player vs. Player: TacFPS vs. [CLAN] (If we are given a challenge by another realism unit, we shall rise to it!) Member vs. Member (Often for training, not campaigns) Player vs. Environment: Lengthy campaigns (Deployments) Small campaigns (Missions) Training Exercises So you're interested in joining TacFPS? Follow these very easy steps and you will be fighting the front lines with us in no time! >> Sign up to our Forums. >> Go to the "RRO" category and find "Enlistment". >> Find the application template and create a new thread / topic in the Enlistment forum. >> Wait up to 24 hours for a response from the RRO Office. 2. [ IMG] http://i.imgur.com/txJzs.png[/img] Tactical FPS Realism Unit Currently, this community is in development and is looking for its base members to help build something fantastic. We need people who have natural leadership skills, yet can carry out tasks when it is asked of them. We need commitment and patience of steel. We need people who will work hard and see the opportunity to be a part of something big before it has grown. What skills do we need in our ranks? Coding & Development of private mods. Tech heads to monitor servers and mod distribution as well as maintenance. Map & Campaign developers. Dedicated players who are willing to teach and learn. Graphic artists and video editors. Players with good knowledge of the game and ACE & ACRE. And not forgetting.. Players who want to learn and are willing to work for it. The above skills are not a MUST to join TacFPS (apart from the bottom line, which goes without saying). What is required of me to join the recruitment process? = You MUST be 16 years of age OR older. = You MUST have Team speak 3 and the ability to use a microphone. = You MUST be mature. (We can have a laugh and a joke, but when it's time to work with a level head, you must do so.) = You MUST have a legit copy of ArmA II & OA (Combined Operations) = You MUST have good English skills (Verbal, Writing & Reading) = You SHOULD either be in the British timezone OR be able to match it with your gameplay availability What do we have to offer? We will offer you full immersion into the scenarios, missions and campaigns that we place you in with you team mates by following similar structure to that of the real armed forces of the United Kingdom. We will be using real rank structure, training based on that of the real army and also campaigns that follow the same kind of scenario used in real-life wars and so on. All of this will be done using the equipment used by the British Armed Forces (BAF is suggested but not required to join). 3. Hi, when I set my view distance up to full, I'm still getting a lot of fog around, I tried getting rid of it in the editor but it doesn't seem to go, anyone got a fix to this?
