Why does ArmA 3 have console FoV?

So anything higher than the default 70* is fisheye? Industry standard for PC is at least 90*. 45*? That's pretty far off. "The approximate field of view of an individual human eye is 95° away from the nose, 75° downward, 60° toward the nose, and 60° upward, allowing humans to have an almost 180-degree forward-facing horizontal field of view. With eyeball rotation of about 90° (head rotation excluded, peripheral vision included), horizontal field of view is as high as 270°. About 12–15° temporal and 1.5° below the horizontal is the optic nerve or blind spot which is roughly 7.5° high and 5.5° wide."
  2. I've been curious as to what gloves the NATO soldiers use for a while, and I believe I've finally found what they are. They are Ringers Gloves Carbon Tactical http://i.gyazo.com/28ee3693dbc9dd580e461d07f9a06823.png http://www.ringersgloves.com/Law-Enforcement/Carbon-Tactical Just a bit of information for anyone else who was curious.
  3. I don't believe it's because of the chambered round. Mainly because even on an empty reload you still get the 11 rounds, or the regular magazine capacity for every other pistol. The ACP C2, which is just a 1911, holds 9 rounds in a flush magazine in game. That would mean the magazine is an 8 round magazine. However, in real life, an 8 round magazine would extend from the magazine well. Likewise, the Rook-40, which is an MP443 Grach, holds 16 rounds in game, where-as in real life it has a 17 round magazine (now an 18 round magazine past 2004). This is the same amount as the P07 (P99), which has a magazine capacity of 15 rounds in real life. The capacity difference from the real life counter-parts is most likely intentional for balancing. However, pistols hardly make much of a difference in terms of balance, as they're mostly useless. I can understand the inaccuracy between the standard service pistols for NATO and CSAT, as they simply use "9mm magazines" which are interchangeable between firearms. However, the 4-five has its own independent magazines. Considering how the 9mm pistols can also take 30 round magazines, I don't see how the game would be very unbalanced from increasing the round count of it would be detrimental. You could increase the weight of each magazine by 33% to help balance as well.
  4. Still seems dumb to me. They give every other small arm the realistic capacity, but then f*** over a single gun.
  5. The ten round magazine is for states with capacity limits on handguns. And even then, that's 10 rounds, not 11 as represented in game.
  6. It's based on the FNP/FNX-45 tactical, which has a capacity of 15 rounds in real life. The main selling point and attraction of the pistol is the round capacity. So why is it that in game the pistol only holds 11 rounds? Was this intentional, or an over-sight in development?

    RH M4/M16 pack

If you could that would be awesome. I have a thing for the early ARs and M16s, and having the 30 rounds drives me crazy. I'm a little OCD about it. :p Edit : If I could also offer any advice, it would be to increase the recoil for all of the rifles. It seems in, at least in comparison to other 5.56 rifles already in the game, to be too low.

    RH M4/M16 pack

Would it be possible to add in another magazine specifically for the M16a1? Like a separate entity that only the M16a1 would use. In your pistol packs, you have different magazines for each of the pistols. Or wouldn't that be possible?

    RH M4/M16 pack

Hey man, love your work, but I noticed a problem with the M16a1. Its model uses a 20 round magazine like it did when they were issued, but in game the capacity is 30 rounds. Any chance of a fix?
  10. I've already changed the Field of View through the config. What I'm trying to do is make it so that whenever I aim down my sights, or zoom in, that the field of view would sort of revert to the standard amount so I can acquire targets at the same level people using the standard Field of View can. Will this FOV changer allow me to do that?
  11. I've had my FOV higher than the standard amount for a while now by altering the config, but have difficulty engaging targets at a distance due to the lessened amount of zoom that I get when trying to aim. Is there a way to alter the zoom amount so that it is equivalent to the standard amount both when zooming in and when aiming down sights?

    Stealth Kills?

Seriously, metal, NO ONE has said that that's what they want. You seem to think that it's physically impossible to kill someone silently with a knife. What Arcani JUST stated is what people want. Obviously we don't want to go around stabbing people rapidly like Far Cry 3 where no-one notices, and it takes less than 3 seconds. We want the option to be able to silently take a single person out carefully without using a suppressed weapon, because they can still hear the shot within a certain radius.
  13. Maio, you should change the title of the p07 in your parenthesis. The actual model of the pistol is a walther p99, but in game it's called the p07.

The Fictional MX Rifle series, why?

^I disagree. The ARX160 looks waaaay too bulky.

    Take Downs.

I actually really like this implementation. But yeah, I do believe that there should be some sort of melee and implementation of melee weapons. Not just for the core game, but what the possibilities could be with mods. That, and I've always wanted to plunge a 7-inch blade into someone's wind-pipe in an arma game. Preferably this.
