you probably have extensions turned off? here is a screenshot of the PBO opened in PBOview, with the file you need to edit highlighted. (imgur pict) I extract to c:/temp you will see a folder there with same name as pbo. I open the description.ext in notepad++ cause normal notepad sucks.. you can try to open it in wordpad which comes with windows and doesnt suck as bad. if you need to turn on extensions. open any windows folder. .. Click the alt key once.. you will see a new menu bar. Click on tools, then folder options. On the new window click view. See "hide extensions for known filetypes".. clear that check mark by clicking on it... now your files will say 'whatever.txt' rather than 'whatever' you do NOT have to do this, but I think it makes it easier to find the files we are talking about, and it is slightly safer from a security view. -

what do you mean xred? when you select the mission you get the little parameters key where you can set all that. (or make yourself admin and restart the mission and you can see all that) if you want to make it perm you can un-pbo it and edit teh description.ext and then repbo it. cant change attack distance.. but can change spawn distance and agro distance. if you decide to edit the description.ext.. you will see something like this { title="Bandage Count:"; values[]={0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,10}; texts[]={"0","1", "2","3","4","5","6","7","10"}; default=2; }; just change default=2 to default=6 or what ever if this doesnt help please expand on what you mean. -

didnt know that on ace, pretty cool... But what about zombies.. do they have to rest? or if i pull a train will i shortly die. due to having to stop? anything else ace offers this mod besides making you slow down now and then? -

just to help your search some. I got it running on an older pentium 4 2.4 ghz single core machine with 256 megs of ram(ddr one) 80 gig hd a gx270 that came out in 2004.. it quickly crashed when someone tried to join from out of memory errors but it also told me when i didnt have enough mem.. i increased the ram to a gig, and started to get out of virtual memory errors(er swap file) but it also told me. It'd look more into You got the wrong version, dont have proper patch or faulty ram, first. -

actually for me, I thought it was passengers in first.. driver last... when he gets in the door locks. So far that has worked for us, but havent really tested it enough to say that is what it is. my problem with 1.3 so far is how fast zeds spawn.. it is insane trying to clear the base. Also where they spawn.. if I change that from anything but default, they stop spawning all together... I'd rather have towns only so they quit spawning in the base we just cleared. But cant get it to work that way.... edit my bad this last part works, just when I change it from default it takes the zeds a lot lot longer to start to spawn. two things would be nice.. being able to adjust respawn time, and being able to set the gps of the spawn location. I want to play this on namalsk.. it is a great atmosphere for this mod.. especially the background sounds, but it is really lacking in cities, and I want to start people at the biggest one. It would be also nice to change in game.. so when we build a base we can make that the new spawn location. -

best to use the server.cfg. I changed the defaults in the PBO, but the problem with that, is you have to do it every time a new version comes out. it also makes it hard to quickly switch between different setups. If you are going to de-pbo it.. at least copy the description.ext, so you can eventually make a server.cfg with the defaults you want.
