Randomly go from 100+ fps to 1 fps after playing
firebear posted a topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Alright this is a weird issue i just started having in ArmA3 (after it being fully playable for months for me) After playing, could be for 30 mins, could be an hour, I will randomly drop from good fps (50+ depending on server) and have 1 fps. 1 fucking fps. It started happening in ArmA3 maybe ~3 days ago and it wont go away. I played a map yesterday with no issues (no idea why) but its back again today. my specs are more than enough to handle arma3: i7 4770k gtx780 win 7 64bit 8gb ram (1333 mhz) asus xonar essence stx it has worked fine in the past, almost always, a month or so ago it happened for a few days (i think during a 2 day period) but then stopped. i had HWInfo64 running while playing and when lag happened tabbed out to see if there was any weird minimum/maximum value reported, didnt see ANYTHING out of the ordinary. Please fix this, i love arma but its entirely unplayable for me now. -

ive tried installing it on different drives. 2 different SSD's and 2 different HDD's, this is the ONLY game i have issues with. i have no weird values reported in anything, not temperatures, not load, not voltage, nothing out of the ordinary when logging during gameplay. also, to add on that defragmentation thing, while i havent defragged my ssds myself as i dont need to, windows defrag ssd's differently and it doesnt actually harm ssd's anymore, according to windows it now increases and ssd's lifespan instead of decrease, and it has never been "breaking" ssd's, just lowering lifespans. i use win7 n 64bit -

bumpity tried playing again today. after 24 minutes it dropped to 0 fps, prior to the drop its 100% playable. no weird hardware activity, no fluctuations at all there. -

happens in any mission, tried singleplayer marksman dlc mission, happened there too. took until that base prior to being picked up to heli then bam, 1 fps. i mostly play KotH (yeah yeah, casual etc) and it was fun and worked just fine until a few days ago, cannot be the mission since it works fine for others (and did for me before) and it happens in everything. -
co30 Hohei Evolution 2 - the Evolution must go on!

latest version (blue) is also bugged. You cannot see the text added in the mission. Like "headquarters" (in scrollmenu) or "Save Loadout". You also cannot see any text at all in the headquarters menu. Please fix ^^ Also I cannot find how to select "Spec Ops". -

Hi there! New to mp ArmA and just started playing evolution today, because the server I played on (with my buddies) had some silly settings, I hosted my own, but I have some questions; How do I disable enemy aircraft? On the server I played on first, there were no enemy aircraft. What is the difference between red and blue version? How do I activate a sidemission? Thank you for a great mission, had lots of fun. -
Jungle Wars: Island of Lingor

Just going to warn any potential Vilayer customers to take a moment and look up how other customers are regularly treated by them. reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/11cyzk/so_i_wanted_to_host_a_takistan_map_cancelled_my This is just one example out of many. Make sure you know the risks of using this provider before you make your decision, because if things go wrong they have no intention to help you or refund you. I think what happened over the last few pages in this thread clearly illustrate their business ethics. F**k over anyone for profit, but if you're called out on it and it'll possibly mean you'll make less, only then do they apologize and try to make things right. You aren't Icebreakr and if they f**k you over they will have no reason to make it right, because you wont be able to harm them by calling it out. Everyone deserve to have all information on the table before you place your order for a server, so take this as a warning. Also, icebreakr, great map. Only really played Lingor and not so much in dayz so the parts I've seen of it are the parts I've come across in missions, but I think it looks absolutely amazing.
