Mouse acceleration
JakartaJim replied to JakartaJim's topic in CARRIER COMMAND: GAEA MISSION - GENERAL
I hope the developers know the difference between mouse acceleration and a laggy mouse. ;) -
This is my third attempt to solve the problem with the mouse acceleration. Slowly, I have the feeling that the developers do not know what mouse acceleration is. When flying a Manta by hand it is much too difficult to aim. This is because the control is not only dependent on the length of the movement of the mouse, but also on the speed at which the mouse is moved. This is called mouse acceleration. Some people call this aiming aid, but it isn’t. It is not helpful! It is annoying. It is not helpful if you want to adjust the crosshair on a target and you know you have to move the mouse for a certain distance. If you do it too fast you move the crosshair too far. If you do it slowly you have to move the mouse much too far too reach the target. And it takes too long. And if it takes too long, you move the mouse quicker, but that will move the mouse far beyond the target. From this point, you move the mouse back and the disaster starts again. … Very helpful! In Windows, you can turn this off but this has no effect on Carrier Command. The mouse acceleration is still on and makes the mantas unflyable and the shooter part is a totally disaster. Can you please add settings in the options menu with which you can completely turn off the mouse acceleration. THIS WILL BE HELPFUL! ;)

Mouse acceleration getting WORSE?!

I have the feeling that the developers don't know at all what mouse acceleration is. -
@Developers: keys and mouse bindings are too poor and mouse acceleration sucks.

Now we got Patch 1.6 and mouse acceleration is still fixed enabled. How difficult is it to do a scrollbar to put the mouse acceleration from 10 to 0? And again: The mouse acceleration, in my opinion, belongs in the top ten of the stupidest inventions in the computer field and is an absolute disaster if it can not be turned off. So the planes are not controllable. -
Releasing games early damages sales?

It's always the same. The producers specify a date and the developer must comply with that. Unfortunately, you can not make the game up to that done, so many things are neglected. Main thing is that the game is in store. Unfortunately, the producers do not think the fact that the game is judged as it comes on the market. And as a semi-finished version can not be very good, it gets a bad review. As it gets a bad review, only a few people buy it. Buy it only a few patches barely be made. Patches are barely done, the fans are pissed. Result: only little money in the till. Fans angry. Developers frustrated. Producer ... What a genius. -

First of all, thank you for the remake of Carrier Command. Today I finally get the game and can finally play it again after decades. But why do you always have to destroy all the work by little things? 1. Why do I can not freely bind the mouse buttons? And why can I use only 2 mouse buttons? My mouse has five. I'm not a WASD player. I put "forward" always on the right mouse button. So I can’t play Carrier Command like I play my other games. It feels like writing with the left hand for right-handers. 2. Why is the mouse acceleration fixed enabled? Please make it completely deactivable. The mouse acceleration, in my opinion, belongs in the top ten of the stupidest inventions in the computer field and is an absolute disaster if it can not be turned off. Please, make it right.
