No matter what I do I always fail this task. I assign Number 2 and Number 3 to attack the guards, and when I get the okay to do it I tell only those two to open fire. They both take more than 1 shot to kill them, and right after they [the enemies] go down I fail the task. What am I doing wrong? I watch videos of other people doing the same thing but they pass it instead.

Is this thread still alive? I'm having trouble getting this to work with a PS2 Eyetoy and FaceAPI. I wrote this post in another forum, but I'll post it here too hoping I can get SOME help on this. ------------ Hi all. I've been trying for awhile now to get my old Namtai PS2 Eyetoy to work in FaceTracknoIR. I followed this guide to get the drivers installed on Windows 8. It works because it shows up in the device manager as a PS2 Eyetoy, it says so in FacetracknoIR, and the little test program that came with the drivers work with it. However it seems as though FaceAPI 3.2.6 (I installed the non-commercial version) does not detect the Eyetoy. I followed video hoping to see if I was doing something wrong. The guy in the video downloaded the drivers for the PS3 Eyetoy which seems to work with FaceAPI because when I click on the Start button in FaceTracknoIR, it says No Camera Detected...backwards. When I click on the settings and then camera [for FaceAPI] it shows PS3 Eyetoy. It seems as though FaceAPI is not detecting the PS2 drivers because once I uninstalled the PS3 drivers, it stopped working. So I'm lost. I've read tons of forum posts where people have got it to work with the PS2 Eyetoy, but they never say how. So I guess the question is, what drivers do I need to get FaceAPI to detect the PS2 Eyetoy? If I can't get it to work with FaceAPI, what else can I do?

Breaking Even - Neutralize Guards
RyanBurnsRed replied to RyanBurnsRed's topic in ARMA 3 - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
Thanks for the replies. I just gave up on it and decided to carry on with the mission, but knowing that I can choose my squad's loadout is useful info. Thanks =) -
Breaking Even - Neutralize Guards
RyanBurnsRed replied to RyanBurnsRed's topic in ARMA 3 - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
No I didn't fire too because I only have a holo sight, and from my distance I can't even see the targets with it. I don't know how to equip my squad before starting the mission. -
I guess that's that then. It seems Arma 3 will be the last game I buy from this company. If they can't make a proper game, then they don't deserve my money. It's a shame though. Arma is pretty fun when it's not running at 10 fps, which usually lasts for a few seconds at a time anyway. I came here to say that I give up. I apologize for arguing. I was so pissed when I first came here when I realized how poorly this game used my system's resources. When I played Arma 2, I always thought it was my system that wasn't good enough. Then I read that the engine wasn't optimized very well. When Arma 3 was announced, I hoped that the engine issue would finally be fixed...only to see that it's no better. Disappointment all around. I regret buying the Alpha copy for me and a friend. I could have spent that money on a game that actually uses my system to perform properly... Cya guys. I'm gone.

My CPU speed doesn't change. It's always at 3.6 GHz. I literally meant that I'd show you my CPU and GPU stats in the game if you wanted. Also my CPU cores were never parked in the first place.
-
Okay. Your previous posts in this thread prove otherwise to me. My CPU's clock speed is consistent. Do you want a screenshot? I'm more than happy to take several if you want to see for yourself.

I know very well when my processor was released dude. You don't have to inform me. I'm not going to change my processor for a poorly optimized game. Every other game I play runs just fine on my processor, therefore I have no reason to get a new one. As for your links and useless statement afterwards, I have already tried many suggestions, fixes, this that and the third. 27% GPU usage, 30% CPU usage. Kiss my ass. It's the game, not my processor. Doesn't matter if it was released in 2010 or not, it's still a good processor. Not everyone has money to spend like you and then belittle people for having hardware 3 years old. I'll still use my processor until 2015 at LEAST. Hopefully in the future BI will optimize the game more by then huh? I'm done with this thread, I'll get no help from here. Also, I won't read more than 10 pages of a thread. I don't have the patience for it. Just people repeating the same thing over and over again and the occasional douche that says "Your computer is old, get a new one scrub. My PC is an i7 2600K at 4.6 GHz with a GTX 680 SLI and 16 GB of 2400mhz RAM and i get 60 fps on so and so settings." Bye.

If you find it please link it.

My hardware is not old. This game is so full of sh*t. I look in task manager and my CPU is only being used 20-30%. I'm getting 10 fps in multiplayer. I lowered all the settings to the absolute minimum, and the fps did not change. This means my CPU is not the one at fault, it means the game engine is a piece of sh*t. I'm so pissed off I can hardly type. If my CPU and RAM is as slow as you said, why does the game auto detect to Ultra, then runs like sh*t at those settings, and every other setting?
-
So in other words the problem is the game, not my computer. Did you bother reading my posts at all?
-
My CPU is already overclocked. I can't overclock it any further. The problem isn't my CPU speed. The problem is the game not using my CPU properly! It's also not using my GPU as well!
-
I have the exact same concerns as the OP. The game auto detects the settings to Ultra, I get on average 20 fps. I lower the settings down to High and even Standard, and my fps does't change. I turn off AA, SSAO, and the fps actually DROPS further to 11!. I open up Precision and check my GPU and CPU usage. My GPU isn't even running at full capacity. The speed on my card is running at 880 Mhz on average and bumps up to 1150-1170 Mhz occasionally. The usage rarely hits 50%, instead it hovers around 40-45%. CPU usage is the same. All 4 cores barely touch 70%, most apart from core #1 stay between 20-30%, with core #1 being a little higher at 40% and touches 70% RARELY. This has to change. I thought Planetside 2 was bad, but this game is WORSE. I want to play it with at LEAST 40 fps, but I can't no matter how hard I try. Please fix this! I read the entire first page of this thread and skipped here. I don't have the patience to read through 200+ pages of this thread, so if there is a solution somewhere in there, please quote it for me, because I don't want to play this game at 19-20 FPS!!! This wasn't a problem in Alpha. I had a GTX 480 then, on very high settings I was at least getting 30 fps. Why is optimization worse AFTER release!? Did it even change at all!? I'm frustrated by this. I finally find a good server to play on, and I have to put up with 19 fps on STANDARD graphics settings.

Weird Texture bug on the Buzzard
RyanBurnsRed replied to funkotron's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Same problem as you guys. GTX 760 Superclocked on 331.40 beta drivers. It's a recent problem for me.
