hi guys wip looking good so far, are you planning to do the abv variant? if so chuck me a pm as i have some bits you maybe interested in -
seems fair enough, so what models/attachments do you still need? i only really sugested the comment before because everyone has there own preferance to which weapons they use. Think it would also be nice to see to be able to have, lets say custom weapon layouts i mean like i always wondered what an sa80 would be like with a tws sight rather than holopoint or susat and a silencer for example

this in my mind would probably work better. if you had a 'core pack' with optics and attachments then maybe sub packs for weapons/configs etc for example m16pack/scarpack/sniperpack and have it so people could pick the pbos they want and dont want as long as the 'core' was there, that would lighten the load. I hope that makes sense and they are just examples guess it just depends on the size of the mod in total

dude this mod looks awesome, would make a good addition to wasteland or some unique hunting type missions. mind you didnt rambo use one in one of his movies?

thats sounds like a good idea in theory, having one common addon rather than lots of little ones seems better. my skills arent great but would help anywere i could sounds like 'by the community for the community' +1 vote to that

alittle update on what ive been working on; decided to the hadleys hope compound/ well as close to it anyway. pics are early wip. more to follow, texturing done by boss, pics above are the sign, some crates and the fuel depot which is situated next to the landing pad. theres afew things i could use some help with so if anyone is interested drop me a pm please, eg a small map for these to go on as a separate addon once finished. the gate animation and some custom sounds to list a few. Anyway more to follow soon -

lingor has animal noises etc that happen when ingame so thats a start but +1 from me, thats a pretty cool idea -
i no this is slightly off topic but not, feel free to join the guys i play with on our ts, (pm for details if interested) and you can come and play with us, we are mainly playing arma 2 atm but do play arma 3 l agree with what the other guys have said, i remember when i first got introduced to arma 2 and started playing it (before anyone throws anything at me) i hadnt played any games on the pc before was mainly a console guy and was truly amazed by the freedom and everything you could do, along with the detail and map sizes. hackers are annoying esp in dayz and wasteland but the ones ive personally ran into clearly cant play the game that well and dont take being killed to well, its amazing that you can connect to a server and probably start a convo or get onto a vent/teamspeak chat, as EDcase said i think you have been unlucky but having a good team with good communication and active admin on open servers certainly helps dont give up because of a few numpies

ok ive had alook around the forum and armaholic and couldnt find one so how about one of these in arma 2 an ABV -
looks stunning to me, be nice to use it ingame although an rksl pimped version gets a plus 1 from me as well lol

theres some really cool work here and alot of promise, sorry if you already answered this but would you consider realeasing the trench systems models as a separate addon?

hi this is my progress so far on my own challenger 2 battle tank. love this tank and want to bring it to arma 3 there are two versions one 'normal' and one with extra armour and slat armour still along way to go...

thanks for the comment, the barrel is actually ok but yes the optics block was a fraction to tall now ammended, also just need to add grenade lauchers as well. -

ok bit of a update spend the last few days sorting the non slated version with a massive point and face cull trying to keep some of the detail and once happy with this willo move onto the slated version ive gone from 20425 points to 14381 saving 6044 and 26995 faces to 18408 saving 8587 now trying to clean up some non closed parts o2 being a bit of a pain and have had format and reinstall my entire system due to an unrelated problem. To be honest this is largest project ive attempted to undertake so hang in there guys. yes i do ill put some more shots up and theres a few more on my photobucket account. once im happy with it and have got to the testing ingame i will knock up a guide to help others but there are far more experienced members here who could probably do what ive done in half the time or be testing it ingame now. -
love the boat rock and looking forward to the tornado another top plane :) great work as always

thanks, i was looking at what else could be reskinned for a more alien theme a hadleys hope map would be good yea im looking forward to the dropship to although theres not been an update on it in a while -

i skinned these as part of an addon im slowly working on to go with the aliens marines and dropship (still wip) think with the right map and some reworked building could create an arma version of hadley's hope, now that would be cool -

thanks and yea i got abit carried away with that. @Adumb - no didnt make it from scratch in o2 and have used a few parts from other bis models in the sample pack like the tracks, loader gun, smoke launchers etc. @Max power - so far about a week but thats been full time on it estimate about 60 - 70 hours and counting thanks for the comments guys ---------- Post added at 16:32 ---------- Previous post was at 15:59 ---------- ---------- Post added at 16:33 ---------- Previous post was at 16:32 ---------- the main shell shape, turret, i did in google sketchup then imported into blender then O2 and the rest has been done in o2, this probably sounds alittle odd but i was playing with the tools and after several hours and to much coffee got to where i am now but the bulk say about 80% has been in done in o2 with wip shots as ive gone along, this is my work apart from the parts ive used from the bis sample models. i know i still have along to go tho and thank everyone for there comments -
hello ok so ive decided to learn to make a map installed the lastest tools and read through the forum and tutorials here ive done everything to the letter and after some trial and error am up to the point where i import the sat and mask images but get an error message saying error loading P:\ im guessing this path isnt correct for the system preferance - path to realtime viewer working dir: any help would be great in fixing this please, my first map is only a small slightly hilly desert map with no water ive been working though the sample guide first tho and cant get past this error on a plus buldozer works

hi and thanks it a a missing ';' in the config so that bit is fixed lol now it gets halfway through importing sat image and crashes
