  1. Hi Arma forums, This might be an inappropriate thing to ask, or a slightly grinding post, but I hope that someone will at least point me in the direction on how to solve this dilemma. Hope its not a recurring question, but it wasn't stickied and I would sticky this. Simply, I don't understand why there is so much hacking in Day Z, and I suppose by extension Arma 2. I know the new version is about to hit, but this seems like a simple issue. I'm an experienced CSE, and it seems you can parse cheaters from logging files easily given basic knowledge of the cheats in play. So, what I'm asking for is the most verbose log out-put from a server where hax0rz are doing things. I haven't started pulling apart this program just yet, but logic and from what I can see from the behaviour of the program, says there should be enough information to spit out who kills a player, and from where. That would be rationality check 1. Flag anyone who has made 1 or maybe 2 kills from more than a KM. Also there must be a log order issued when a summon occurs and from who, and a rationality checks to make sure characters aren't 'beaming' from location to location. I don't know whether this level of verbose logging is currently being done, but that seems to be step 1 in stopping my dude from being raped by IR scopes and tree-penerating bullets, and random deliveries to random ocean locations. All of that SSSSUUUUCCCCKKKKKS! My intention for the log file is to throw a basic AI parser at it that does the 'rationality' test and isolates players that seem a bit dodgy. This may not help 'auto aiming' mods, if they exist, but it should point out bad playas to make admin work easy. Thanx EDIT: I'd like to know where vehicle locations are stored on the server and how their locations are updated. The idea here is to be able to identify cheaters, not provide new ways of exploiting this system, but rationality should do that. EDIT 2: I can start my own server and try to get players to join it, but I need an active hacking community and a sample of what the logs say, and to what detail super-verbose mode goes to. This may simply be an issue of the next beta throwing more data to log files. Booyeah!
