The "It" in the second sentence references the "It" in the first sentence, which in turn is referencing the quote. Not talking about your terrain port buddy, I'm talking about the volume reduction mod. (I'll edit it for clarity though) I don't understand the confusion on this part, unless English isn't your first language. "Well, hot diggity" is a positive expression, meaning I acknowledge there being a future update incorporating the lighting update. :)

Naw, but i'll make it again for A3 if this terrain ends up supporting the lighting update. It's The volume reduction mod is just a pretty simple config replacement. Well, hot diggity. (Yea!)

Call a mission script from an addon.

Hello, I'm looking for a method to call a mission script from an addon script. I can grab the path of the script i want to run from the addon script: mpmissions\__cur_mp.takistan\myscript.sqf, but I can't find a solution to run the script. I've tried to execVM to the file without any success. I've also tried to #include the file, however #include doesn't like variable path names. Currently this pulls the mission script for me, however execVM doesn't like it: _path = format ["mpmissions\__CUR_MP.%1\", worldName] + "myscript.sqf"; [] execVM _path; Does anyone know of a reliable method to call a script like this or am I out of luck? edit: Just saw the 'ADDONS - Configs & Scripting' section', can a mod move this post if you see it? thanks -

Love Namalsk but hate the screaming children in the background? Boy do I have a fix for you! Introducing ds_peaceandquiet, this mod lowers the ambient volume at Namalsk by 2/3. The mod doesn't modify any files in Namalsk, it only patches the volume of the audio. It's lightweight, only a few kilobytes in size. It only needs to be run client-side, server keys are included. Hi, i'm trying to convert some zombie unit scripts over to ACE Wounds. I've set the zombies to use the ACE function ace_w_setunitdam. The unit will get damaged in single player/editor (ACE Wounds, bleeding, pain, passing out, etc...), but when i test the mission over multiplayer it fails. The zombie units just play the animation/sound, no ACE Wounds damage is received. I've ran short on ideas, do i need to broadcast the units damage somehow? I've also tried syncing via public variable handling.

You could try running a respawn event handler to run the code when the unit respawns? this addEventHandler ["respawn", "zombie code;"]; -

derp squad n. 1. A group of retards in a platoon being sent into battle ahead of the regular troops acting as human shields/decoys. We are just a group of dudes who like to kill each other. If you're tired of shooting countless predictable AI and DayZ script-bunnies have left your keyboard in a splintered mess, then come check us out. We exclusively play TvT, which is what Arma calls PvP. We're not a clan, we're a community. A casual group that gets together to play Arma a few times throughout the week. There are no applications, no ranks, no mandatory time commitment and no strings attached. We typically play every Wednesday and Saturday night at 9pm EST, and continue running missions late into the night. Our missions are all developed by Derp Squad members and all are welcome to submit their own missions or ideas. Being casual means you will never be chastised for friendly fire or for showing up late. The vast majority of our players have full-time jobs, families, kids, etc... We understand that life gets in the way. We have been playing alot of Arma 3, and we plan on moving over very quickly once ACRE gets released for it. We play with the ACE and ACRE mods when we are in Arma 2, so you'll need to get those installed. If you have any problems we are happy help out, just shoot us a message. We also like to do a quick run-through of the mods, sort of a familiarization session, to get you on your feet and ready to run missions. ACE and ACRE make many changes to the dynamics of Arma and it can get a bit confusing without knowing the ropes. All of our training sessions are one-on-one, and the session will move at your pace. This is all done for the convenience of new players, if you are already familiar with ACE/ACRE, just hop in! For our Arma 3 sessions you won't need anything just yet! Every single mission we play is built in-house by several different members, and we are always looking for more great missions to play. Our missions focus around each team having specific objectives to attain, and here you only have one life to give to reach that end, there is no respawn. We play on expert difficulty so you'll also be locked into first person. That said, we don't have many constraints on the method of victory, we give the team tools to use and let them decide how to use them. This helps give our missions higher replayability as each team will plan and play differently every time. The members of Derp Squad share the same mindset; we love to play pvp in Arma. We like to keep it light and casual. We want to have fun without having to make a major obligation of time and energy. We like the feeling of working as a team to accomplish a goal. And frankly we just like to blow shit up. These things can be found individually in many different squads and groups, but we feel that it’s the combination of all these factors that sets us apart. But it isn’t all a derpfest. Each mission you’ll find yourself with different folk as squad-mates, and there is hierarchy within that structure, but we also encourage all players to be active and take and try new roles.
