I was unable to locate it in the functions viewer... I'm kind of new to A3's editor. Can anyone post the script once acquired?
-
Ok, so (to simplify it for my tiny mind) - The best way to execute it would be either Call bis_fnc_customGPSvideo _video = ["video\intro.ogv"]; WaitUntil {scriptDone _video}; Or I'll also try... _video = ["video\intro.ogv"]; Call bis_fnc_customGPSvideo; WaitUntil {scriptDone _video}; ---------- Post added at 14:46 ---------- Previous post was at 13:28 ---------- Neither of those work, even with a few modifications...

Hey guys, I used to play a video in the GPS for a lot of my missions back in ArmA 2, and I'm not sure if it still works for ArmA 3. _video = ["video\intro.ogv"] spawn bis_fnc_customGPSvideo; waitUntil {scriptDone _video}; That's the script I used, but I get an error "RSC Layer name cannot be empty string". Any ideas? Thanks, Sasuke

Thanks, quick reply as always. Exactly what I was looking for. -
Hey guys, I really don't know where to search for this, but I'm trying to find where the script for scrolling through pictures on a placeable slideshow is. I've heard heaps that you can do it, so if anyone knows, that would be helpful! Thanks, CPT M. Sasuke 6th Royal Australian Regiment

I think it's really needed for the times you're out of ammo. Awkwardly running around trying to hide isn't fun, and what if you both run out of ammo?

In my experience, I've been extremely lucky to play VBS2 VTK at an Air Force Base in Australia, with at least 45 other Air Force Cadets. I must say, the game goes into extreme detail with every little point in terms of mechanics, even if the graphics do come up a little short. So I will say this: It is realistic. It looks fantastic. It is amazing. Honestly, ArmA comes close, but just a little bit short. I can see BIS' colleagues are putting more effort into VBS than ArmA. (And it wouldn't be the same without Aircraft, being stuck on the ground in VBS would suck, and same for ArmA)

2nd Commando Regiment The 2nd Commando Regiment is an Australian ARMA 2 Realism unit that started 3 months ago that specialises in stealth missions and advanced tactics to get the job done. We use ACE/ACRE as well as Australian mods such as AAW, ANZAC and SOTG to add to the realism of an Australian unit. We have a dedicated server which allows us to have 30 people without lag or desync. We are an Australian based unit using Australian units, ranks, and tactics to follow the image of the real Australian 2nd Commando Regiment! We are looking for mature and fun Australian, New Zealand and International players who are willing to join the unit be dedicated and most of all have fun. We have many MOS (positions available to suit anyone) â—¾ â—¾Automatic Rifleman â—¾ â—¾Artillery â—¾ â—¾Anti-Tank Riflemen â—¾ â—¾Assistant Automatic Rifleman â—¾ â—¾Assistant Machinegunner â—¾ â—¾Aircraft Crewman â—¾ â—¾Crewman â—¾ â—¾Medic â—¾ â—¾Machinegunner â—¾ â—¾Rifleman â—¾ â—¾Rifleman: Grenade Launcher â—¾ â—¾Pilot â—¾ And many, many more! Hey guys, Sasuke here. I was working on a mission with a friend for about 1-2 months after I finished a version for ArmA 2 on my own. The mission is simple: (Just think of the hunger games, that's its basis) There are 24 players around a big pile of weapons in the centre. Food, water and such are also there. You have a 30 second countdown before the mission starts and it's up to you to decide what to do. You can run for the items or take off into the map to hide or fight. Features: > Medical box spawn after 10 minutes > Food and water requirements > Custom 'Gamemaker' Position > Vehicle spawns > Ammo, Food, Water and Weapons caches spread around in certain areas > The rest you need to find out on your own! Supports up to 24 Players plus 1 gamemaker (Reccomended for Server Admins) Unfortunately, after a bit of an arguement with the owner of the TS we communicated in, I was banned from it, so I'm unable to contact my Co-Edtior. I'll keep you guys updated with changelogs and newer versions. This is a great multiplayer mission for plenty of public servers, and I personally think it never gets old! Enjoy! Arma 2 Addon request thread
Sasuke replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Unfortunately, he does not have the mission. The only chance of it still even existing is that (A friend hosted the server for us, as he has better internet) the host has possession of it still. Sorry. -
Changing you unit/gear/uniform
Sasuke posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Hey guys, I've discussed with my unit and we've agreed to now use ANZAC and AAW models when on base (As the ADF does) since they use Auscam. However, when we need to deploy, I'm looking for an option to change the unit's type to SOTG Operator. I know that a few other game modes and such have done this (One I think was a Chernarus Life thing, where you can purchase different models at the store, the other I've seen was DayZ), but I'm looking for once that I can use in my own missions. I've seen this: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?126661-Changing-Unit-Appearance That didn't answer, as the script mentioned, which is this: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=13312 Problem is, this makes you switch positions with a single unit. I'm looking for something for 10-30 people to use, by interacting with a Field Toilet (Simulating a dressing room or such). Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed, if there's something simple along the lines of addaction (If Local doesn't interfere) for more flexibility, that would be even better. I'll try writing up my own... Which I doubt will work. This NEEDS to be multiplayer compatible, reusable and editable for different class types. Thanks, Lieutenant M. Of course... I forgot to keep seperating the numbers... Thank you so much for this! When it's finished and working I'll upload a link for a downloadable version... Probably from my Dropbox. -

Looking at the second link, I've managed to change it up so that it now tends to my own scripts when activated/deactivated. private ["_bomb", "_id"]; _bomb = _this select 0; _id = _this select 2; CODE = [(round(random 9)), (round(random 9)), (round(random 9)), (round(random 9)), (round(random 9)), (round(random 9))]; _displayok = createdialog "KeypadDefuse"; private ["_code", "_inputcode", "_DEFUSED"]; _code = _this select 0; _inputcode = _this select 1; // compare arrays to see if code matches _DEFUSED = [_code, _inputcode] call BIS_fnc_areEqual; if (_DEFUSED) then { titletext ["Password Successful. Area Open.", "PLAIN DOWN"]; Cheget removeaction defuseaction; }; if (!_DEFUSED) then { titletext ["PASSWORD FAILED. ALARM TRIGGERED.", "PLAIN DOWN"]; sleep 5; Playsound "Alarm.ogg" }; CODEINPUT = []; However, I need it to only open to the password '365736'. I've been messing around with it for a while now but I can't seem to get it quite right... The BOLD part is what I believe I need to change. I've tried... CODE = [(365736)]; Any suggestions?
